Story
Baker is a 10-month-old black lab mix with a heart full of love and the sweetest personality you could ask for. This gentle boy gets along great with dogs, children, and even cats—he truly just wants to be everyone’s friend. He’s still learning the leash but is eager to please and picking things up quickly. Baker has been through a tough patch with mange, but he’s healed up beautifully and is no longer affected—he’s just waiting for his fur to finish growing back so he can shine on the outside as much as he already does on the inside. All Baker wants is a loving home where he can feel safe, cared for, and part of the family. He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped—ready to start his next chapter. If you’re looking for a kind, resilient pup with so much love to give, Baker is your boy!

Story
Meet Rumi, a 2-year-old, 50-pound mixed breed with a personality and energy level as big as her heart. Rumi is looking for an active individual or equally active pair who can keep up with her and help her thrive. Hiking buddy? Running partner? Adventure companion? Rumi is ready to sign up. Rumi absolutely has the brains — she knows her commands and understands what’s expected of her. The challenge is that Rumi sometimes likes to pretend she suddenly forgot everything she learned. She is smart, playful, and incredibly energetic, which means she needs owners who understand that structure and consistency are not optional for her; they're essential. Rumi responds best with clear expectations, regular correction, and ongoing guidance to help channel all of that excitement into positive behaviors. She gets along well with other dogs and cats, but her enthusiasm for life can be a lot. Because of her excessive energy and excitement level, Rumi would do best in a home without children. Rumi isn't looking for a couch-potato household — she's looking for people committed to giving her outlets for her mind and body while continuing her training and structure. In return, you'll get a loyal, entertaining, smart companion who will keep life interesting and make every day an adventure.

Dixie is a 9-month-old black lab mix with a gentle, loving nature and a calm presence about her. She’s a laid-back girl who enjoys the simple things—being near her people, relaxing, and quietly taking in the world around her. She does well with dogs, cats, and children, and while she can be a bit shy when meeting new people, she warms up with a little time and patience. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality really shines through. Dixie is learning the leash and the basics of house training, and she’s doing very well in foster care. She’s eager to learn and would thrive in a home that offers consistency and kindness. She has recovered from mange and is no longer affected—she’s just waiting for her fur to grow back in. Dixie is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped—ready to find a home where she can feel safe and loved. If you’re looking for a calm, gentle companion with a soft soul, Dixie could be the perfect fit

Story
It sometimes takes a few minutes for a newly arrived Humane Society canine to become comfortable in the wide-open spaces of the bark park. Millie was a little stressed but the photographer knew that the happy smiles would eventually arrive but, in the mean-time, Millie shared a variety of very flattering Mona Lisa smiles that are captivating in their own right. Leonardo da Vinci would have been proud of her non-smile smiles while she walked the grounds and statuesquely stood behind the fire hydrant prop. Towards the end of the session, the human was standing at the opposite side of the bark park from Millie. He called for her and she came eagerly running to him with her ears flapping and a cheerful smile on her face. Six-year-old Millie is a quiet, mellow-natured, courteous canine with a sweet, sweet personality who will have a strong emotional bond with the adoptive family.

Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Just like his brother Chandler, Joey took a couple of minutes to adapt to the unique surroundings of the wall-to-wall carpeting of Buttercup blossoms but then he began to enjoy the freedom of the bark park with nonchalant candor. 7-month-old Joey is a handsome, quiet, easy-going canine who takes treats gently and is learning to walk contentedly on leash. His from-the-heart smiles are contagious, and you will find yourself joining him with smiles of your own. Joey is a little shy at times but at the end of the session, he came up from behind and gave the human’s hand a gentle, comfortable touch that showed his sweet inner nature and desire to be close.
