This is Birdie. She is incredibly smart, thoughtful, and has a good drive for learning — not a high-energy dog, but one who truly benefits from regular exercise, structure, and mental stimulation. She would be an excellent match for someone who enjoys training and engaging with their dog beyond the basics. Birdie’s previous owner unfortunately wasn’t able to put in the consistent time she needed, and due to current life circumstances, I haven’t been able to fully give her the outlet she deserves. I want to find her a home where she can truly thrive. A few important things to know about Birdie: • 🧠 Very intelligent and eager to learn • ⚡ Moderate energy with a solid working drive when engaged • 🐕 Some dog reactivity, which I genuinely believe could improve greatly with proper exercise, structure, and consistent handling • 🐱 Loves cats • 💕 Loyal, affectionate, and people-oriented • 📏 Big girl weighing approximately 90 lbs • ✂️ Spayed female, 4 years old (turned 4 in September)

Astro is a beautiful black Labrador Retriever that I found as completely stray and out wandering, alone and hungry. As the shelter where he was found had a short-lived policy for any strays that are brought into it, his extremely loving temperament as a Labrador Retriever was something I could not allow to be turned over to that shelter as a stray. So I took him in myself instead, vaccinated him, neutered him, house trained him, and fully trained him to prepare him for living with you, his Forever Family. Astro is an incredible dog, and Astro is extremely loving with a big heart, and is incredibly great with kids. So you must only apply if you are fully ready for the lifelong commitment of being Astro's Forever Family!
