Story
Look at this LABRADORABLE boy!   You may remember him as Mario, but he's now going by Tanner—and he's still searching for the forever family he deserves.   How is this handsome guy still waiting?!   Tanner is everything people love about Labs: goofy, affectionate, playful, and always ready for whatever adventure comes next. He loves toys, adores other dogs, and believes hugs and kisses are the best way to greet his favorite people.   And can we talk about those ears?! Pair them with his beautiful almond eyes and adorable squeaky little yawn, and he's basically impossible to resist.   His foster family has been helping him brush up on his puppy manners, and he's doing great! He's potty trained, crate trained, knows "sit," is learning "place," loves to offer his paw, and is eager to learn. He's food motivated, takes treats gently, and truly wants to make his people happy.   Tanner is looking for a family that will continue to help him grow into the incredible dog he's already becoming. In return, you'll get a loyal best friend, an adventure buddy, a professional cuddler, and a dog who will make you smile every single day.   This LABRADORABLE boy is ready to find the family he's been waiting for. Could it be yours?   Apply to adopt Tanner at www.denkaisanctuary.org. ##2742750##

Story
Bull in a china shop? Nope! It's just Newt in, well, pretty much anywhere.   That big ol' block head of his is definitely protecting a brain that's just as big—and just as strong. Newt is smart, and he knows it. In fact, he's so smart that he usually thinks he knows best...all the time.   Sometimes he's right. Other times? Well, let's just say if you're particularly attached to your shoes, bags, or anything else he can grab (whether easily or with impressive determination), you'll want to keep them safely tucked away and make sure he's occupied with something you've deemed acceptable.   Have you ever met a tiny puppy trapped in a huge, strong body? That's Newt.   With his clumsy run, goofy smile, endless energy, and love of water, he's got it all. Did we mention he's toy obsessed? Unfortunately, sharing and giving them back are still concepts he's working on.   Underneath all of that chaos is a dog with a genuinely soft heart. Newt loves other dogs, doesn't seem to mind cats (though we'd recommend supervision until everyone is well acquainted), and has done well with kids. That said, because he has absolutely no idea how big he is, children should always be supervised around him—unless being accidentally thumped by a happy tail sounds like a good time.   Newt is looking for someone who can keep him in line, teach him boundaries, and make sure both his body and his mind stay busy enough to keep him out of trouble. He's not a finished product, but that's part of his charm.   In return, Newt promises a lifetime of laughs, adventures, and a loyalty that simply can't be matched.   If you're interested in fostering or adopting Newt, please submit an application at denkaisanctuary.org.   Trust us—life is never boring when Newt is around. ##2653324##

Story
Note from a volunteer: Magenta and I have been walking buddies ever since her arrival at LPCHS. She is a dog who knows her own mind, and often tells me where we're going to walk on any given day. She is the definition kindness and gentleness. She recently visited the kids at Park Elementary's summer camp program, and behaved like a champ. A little overwhelmed at first, but in her defense, it was a group of 40 excitable kids. She genuinely cares and loves her people. She's not demanding of treats, and is pretty picky about what you have to offer, but I was able to find one bacon treat that she is quite fond of! Magenta's favorite place for scratching is her hind quarters. Magenta would be a terrific addition to any family. Come by and say hi, you won't be disappointed.
