Story
Meet South, a handsome Great Pyrenees mix boy born on October 18th, who is already preparing for the most important journey of his life — traveling to the forever family he will love and grow old with.   South comes from a litter of ten adaptable, go-with-the-flow puppies who were exposed early to different environments and people. That early experience has shaped him into a confident, easygoing young dog who handles new situations with calm curiosity. He greets new people comfortably and does wonderfully with the other dogs in his foster home.   His Great Pyrenees mama’s influence shines brightly in South’s personality. He has a naturally calm, laid-back demeanor and a thoughtful presence that feels steady and reassuring. He takes treats gently, shares food from the same bowl with his brother without a hint of possessiveness, and moves through life without urgency or chaos.   While South enjoys playtime, he’s perfectly happy embracing his inner Pyr and being just a little bit lazy. One of his favorite pastimes is relaxing in his bed, quietly observing everything around him — very much like the guardian breeds who once watched over sheep and goats for hours on end. He also loves ear scratches, belly rubs, and the occasional chase of his own tail.   South is expected to be a large boy, likely 80–90 pounds, and because of his guardian instincts, apartment living would not be suitable. He will need a home with a yard where he can patrol, watch over his space, and feel fulfilled.   His calm, steady nature makes him an excellent candidate for someone seeking a deeply loyal companion — possibly even an emotional support dog for the right person. South is not a high-energy dynamo and won’t be your marathon partner, but if you’re looking for a peaceful, devoted presence by your side, he may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.   South has already made a great start with potty training, showing a clear preference for going outside. He simply needs continued guidance to learn how to “ask” to go out.   This special boy is a true gem, ready to settle into the home where he belongs and bless his people with years of love and quiet companionship.    Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at newengland@gmail.com if you are interested in making South your very own.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 26, 2025, 7:01 pm

Story
Once upon a time there was a special family of Lab puppies born on July 4th to a momma who is a Chocolate Lab and dad is an Australian Shepherd.   The puppies and Momma were not cared for very well and the family was on hard times and really not able to feed the pups and momma what they needed daily. People next door noticed and contacted Critter Cavalry Rescue.  We gladly stepped forward and took the little family and their momma and have been looking for homes that are Lab loving people who have fenced yards and experience with the wonderful energy and temperament of the breed.   Sweet Brewster is just A doll baby that is wonderful with cats, dogs, young children and adults.   He is a bit shy at first but warms quickly.  His limited social experiences are expanding Every day with his foster family, but he is not a bold nor alpha personality. Just a curious little guy who will grown to be 50 pounds as an adult who will be easy To love and easy to train.  He is learning his crate skills and he is OK on a leash right now.  His foster family fosters several dogs for CCR and they are focusing on Potty training (coming along great) and just teaching him a schedule and boundaries.  Brewster has a gleam in his eye when you tell him sweet things that let him Know that you are proud of him and that he is loved.  Positive reinforcement is what he craves and responds to with great results.  You cannot go wrong with a Brewster pup to love.  If you are interested in knowing more please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  Please tell us where you live!!!  City and state.   We transport out of Tennessee where we are based and we travel up the northeastern corridor allowing our dogs and cats to reach families in 12 others states.   Brewster is ready to help you start your New Year off RIGHT!!!!  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meetingplaces in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 26, 2025, 7:01 pm

I'm eager to explore the world - sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures my family can dream up! And lots of play time! And lots of snuggles!
