Story
This little darling with the beautiful black scruffy face and Lab body is called Jerri.  Born 9 months ago this little girl is still a puppy and weighs 35 pounds and promising to probably be a 45-50 adult when fully grown.  Jerri was recently in a shelter in rural Tennessee with her brother Ben.  Yep....Ben and Jerri are their names.   Taken from a home where there were many animals living with little food and total neglect, they luckily escaped a long life of chaos and barely surviving.  They are robust and happy pups that hardly know they were destined for trouble earlier in life.  Their mind is not harmed at all and there are no signs of emotional baggage at all. Jerri just craves some personal attention which is no surprise.  She is eager to please and teaching her is going to be easy since she is very food motivated.  She walks pretty well on a leash despite having no real experience till now.  She is a wiry girl when you touch her coat and her face has that darling look of an Irish wolfhound with scruffy chin hairs.  She is sleek and a shiny black when the sun hits her body.   She is playful working on crate training and pretty much housebroken with an occasional mishap.  All part of learning what a new life with structure and routine means.  Expectations for her are good and one thing she promises in return is the deepest gratitude expressed by loving you with every part of her being.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  Please tell us where you live when inquiring.  We adopt to Tennessee residents where we are based and we also transport o the northeastern corridor of states.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 18, 2026, 1:54 pm

sweet baby ISO family! TRIXIE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:  Trixie        Best Guess for Breed:   Lab mix    Best Guess for Age:  7 weeks as of 2/17/26          SEX:    Female   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):    7.5 lbs as of 2/17/26   Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:   Puerto Rico shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Trixie is Looking For:    Hi! The seven of us - Tabitha, Tammy, Tiffany, Talia, Tracey, Tristan, Trixie - have loved our time in the puppy pile, but we are each ready to pack our bags and find our very own forever home! I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. When I'm a little older, I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your home and your heart for me? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once this pup has spent time in foster care. Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.      Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than June 25, 2026. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets.   Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at        www.luckydoganimalrescue.org       .
