Story
Max is a 7 year old Lab mix, and is about 50 lbs. He's very loving, but also likes his personal space. He loves belly rubs, ear scratches, walks outside, and chasing after tennis balls. He does great in a crate when we aren’t home. He has also done well with our son as an infant/toddler. Max would do best in a quiet home, and is very low energy. He's a grazer, and will mostly nibble at his food throughout the day. He loves nothing more than being in the same room as you. We're looking for someone who can give Max the proper attention and care he deserves. Here's a link to more info about him: https://pactforanimals.org/pets/max-f/

Story
Meet Zuri! Our beautiful little girl that is mixed with all sorts of gorgeous dog elements that include most probably Border Collie/Husky mix.  This crystal blue eyed girl has waited a long time to have her chance to be offered for adoption.  You see she was part of a cruelty case back in October and was severely malnourished and was pregnant with babies.  All her pretty babies have been adopted but poor Zuri was left behind.  She was taken from the small TN shelter last month to decompress and learn some home/family life.  She is ready now for a wonderful new family to call her own .  This girl is a mature and settled 3-4 years old, spayed, UTD on vaccinations, HW- and ready for the good life with a family that will love and cherish her forever. Her beautiful blue eyes and open personality will make you love her instantly.  This girl loves to run and play in the yard with other dogs and absolutely loves the water! She does good as your passenger in the car for pup cup runs and would do good in a home with older, dog savvy children that are 10 years and above. She is still learning not to pull on her leash and is doing very good at her sit command. Zuri just wants her chance to prove that she’s a great family member and cuddle up with you at night!  If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained, pretty girl that deserves the best life from her on out…please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Our handsome young small Lab mix boy named Finnick is the sweetest and most adaptable dog you could ever adopt.  He like a miniature Lab that is only 35 pounds and was born in around August of 2023.  This dog is in a foster home with two other dogs, 3 cats and two empty nester adults. His foster mom calls him “AMAZING”. Despite not having a good  start in life, he’s a well-adjusted, trusting, and loving soul.  He just wants to bond with the people he lives with and we have promised that we will search high and low for a truly wonderful family or person to make him a part of their life. This guy called “Finn” for short, is cuddly to the max and wants to be held and snuggled.  He’s smart as a whip and training is a breeze because his sole aim is to please his person.  You don’t need training treats, just give him positive attention and he’s at your command. He has a great nose too and can find whatever might be hidden, be it moles in the soil or crumbs under the fridge. When meeting new people, he’s cool and calm and a little bit introverted but never shows the least bit of aggression and is quick to warm up and become  friends after just a few minutes. Give it a little more time and shower him with pets and praise and then you’ve got a true blue buddy for life. He spent an evening with a human toddler and was soon buds by the end of the evening.  With his easy-going temperament, quick trainability, and loving nature he could easily become a therapy or service dog.  He looks like a small version (35lbs) of a black lab with a white chest blaze. A mini-lab . . . what could ever top that for a perfect canine companion? If you are interested in this loveable boy then contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Luna is a beautiful young Lab mix girl who has endured a very unstable start to her life that has left her shy and unsure of herself at just 5-6 months of age.  This 25 pound girl is precious in body and soul and craves a confident hand to show her how to enjoy the world around her with joy and delight.   She is so pretty and actually her ears stand up when she is not being shy for the camera.  This sweet girl lived in a single bedroom of a disabled man for months and finally Critter Cavalry Rescue was able to secure a foster home for her to leave and get the great foster home that could work with her to build her self-esteem.  She rides well in a car and walks nicely on a leash.  She is wonderful with cats, other dogs and shyly accepts attention from strangers.   She will be a new girl in a short time of living with a competent and capable foster mom and family.   She would be wonderful with children too!  We envision this girl going to live with someone that has another confident, mature dog and who can take her on walking adventures and playful times in a fenced backyard.  Luna will be a top weight of 45 pounds when fully grown.   She has all the good stuff in her heart and soul and personality to be one of the move loving dogs you could ever adopt into your home.  If you are interested please write to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Nina is a little girl who was born around Mid-May and the family who had their dog give birth, moved away from their country rental and left 10 puppies behind with no plan for food or water…..just an outdoor pen.  After several months of a neighbor feeding them, Critter Cavalry Rescue was called in to help take them from the pen and give them a chance to find homes.  This girl survived months of abandonment and starvation and has emerged with a few social hesitancies and insecurities, yet a smart mind and loving soul.  She is crate trained, housebroken, wonderful with children that are young, other dogs and also cats.  She is a champ when it comes to being there for you but socially skittish when there are loud noises, sudden movements from outside and thunderstorms.  Nina is coming in to a place that she is showing confidence and not scared of certain things.  She will get there soon, but will need someone that doesn’t require her to be perfect.  She truly is perfect in so many ways despite her really challenging early months as a litter that was abandoned.  Nine is a lab/Pit mix that is beautiful and 44 pounds and a full weight as an adult.   She is very sweet and loving and good with children,  dogs, but NO CATS…..she loves to chase.    She is housebroken and she is crate trained and is a true outdoor girl. She loves to sunbath on the back patio and she welcomes the opportunity to meet new people.  She is pretty good on a leash and good on car rides and great recall that usually works for her.  She is a companion puppy.  She is a Lab/Pit mix and has the heart and soul of a Golden Retriever.   If you are interested in giving this homeless girl a new life and family, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Are you looking for a sweetheart of a young dog?  An older puppy that is not quite 5 months old and who is very easy to have around and more than special to love.   Meet Tenderhearted Thelma, a Black Lab mix girl that was found with her sister, Louise, running down the side of the road in the country on a busy  highway.  Obviously someone had dumped these special girls and allowed them to find their innocent way in this world…and death by a car was just a few minutes away.  A wonderful rescue foster mom for Critter Cavalry Rescue saw what was happening and stopped her and gathered the two precious girls to remove them from harm’s way.  As you can see from her posture, Thelma is very submissive and not quite so sure of herself.  She is on a small farm with all sorts of animals; horses, pigs, goats, dogs, cats, newborn puppies, and fitting in easily and with submissive posturing.  We want a family to take this girl who will grow to be 50 pounds, and mold her, build her confidence and love her to the moon and back.   She is learning about life and we want a family to teach her all the good things that a well mannered dog needs to know how to do.  If you are a teacher, a lover of dogs and a patient person who will let her bloom at her own speed, then please write to us about Tenderhearted Thelma.   Critter Cavalry Rescue has her ready to go!!!   Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Gucci is an incredible girl—silly, loving, adores kids, adults, and most dogs (even cats). Every morning, she greets us with a "hug," nuzzling between our legs for scratches. She's great with other dogs and loves leash walks and romping in the woods. Camping and paddleboarding? She thrived. Trained through a board + train program, she's mastered commands and sleeps contentedly in her crate. Gucci thrives where there's space to run and not too much foot traffic. Sadly, we're rehoming her because, with frequent visitors, she can feel cornered and react. Though it's heartbreaking, we realize it's safest for all. Gucci-girl would be an amazing addition to a person, couple, or family who leads a bit of a quieter life. She would love another dog(s) to play with and remind her of her manners, but she is also good at being the center of attention. Gucci stays with us until we find the perfect match, ensuring she'll bring joy to a new home where she'll be cherished just as she is with us.

Luna is an incredibly sweet who loves to play and to cuddle. She is very food motivated and is a quick learner. My wife and I are expecting a baby at the end of August and have made the incredibly difficult conclusion that, with a baby coming, we won't be able to provide her with the home that she needs. We have loved having her in our home and will miss her dearly.

Story
Nala is a beautiful 2.5 y/o yellow Labrador who resides in Fairfax, VA. She is full of so much fun, energy, and affection and is very eager to please! She's great with young children (3+ yrs), attentive, and does her best to earn treats. In her first year of life, Nala attended training school for 4 weeks. She knows several commands such as sit, stay, down, wait, leave it, drop it, and her release word “ok.” She gets along very well with other animals and is impressively calm in the face of less-behaved dogs! Her favorite activities include playing fetch, going on long runs/walks, exploring nature, and snuggling with loved ones. Nala is spayed, current with her vaccines, and weighed in at 76 lbs as of 7/12/2024. Nala deserves the opportunity to flourish in a dynamic family environment who can reciprocate all the love she has to give!

Story
Hatchi Came to us when he was 6 weeks old, born November 17,2023, was given to us by a family friend because the mom birthed to many dogs. At first we didn’t have much time to take him out for walks, he does follow commands to sit down when he gets a treat, he knows when he is in trouble he runs to his crate, he sleeps in it, he likes morning walks now mid day and evening. He is fully vaccinated, he is very active likes to play ball and run with the children, when he sees other dogs he does try to fight and can be aggressive but once they smell each other all he does is play around, has never biten any dog or kids. We are sad to give him away but, our schedules it’s busy and needs more training. He is very loving, hopefully he finds a great family where can be his new home

Story
My name is Milo Magoo and I am a 3 year old Golden Doodle with a birthday that is coming in the next few days… to turn 3 yrs. old.  I weigh 80 pounds and I am looking for an attentive and dog training family that will really shape and polish me to be the spectacular dog that I have the potential to be.  My current family really has no time to work with me to shape me in to a dog with great manners and emotional control.   I am bored in this home and I need physical and mental stimulation and fun challenges to do.  I am very happy, sweet, and very active with running and playing.  I am a male that is ALL BOY and if I had my wish I would say to adopt me if you have a girl dog in the family.   I would love to have a girlfriend for life!  When I am bored my favorite, yet dangerous, thing to do is eat socks.  So please watch that if you take me home.  It is totally out of boredom.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is tryng to change all this by placing me in the right home that they will review closely.   I am a silver tawny coloring and people just ohhhhh and ahhhhh over the color of my coat of  hair.  If you would like to adopt me please email right away at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Mention in the email where you live!!!   That helps so much too.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Hello world!   I am so excited to tell you my story of being saved from a shelter that was under siege from parvo.  I survived and I was broken out of the shelter by Critter Cavalry Rescue after spending 4 weeks there and hoping to live through it all. My name is Bridgette and I am about 5 months old and weigh 28 pounds.  They say I have all sorts of breeds probably in my blood line.  They say I looks like a Golden Retriever mix or an Aussie mix or a little Chow or just the best of what God could create.  My foster mom just loves my confidence and my small size and stature but my BIG personality.  How big will I be when I grow up? Who knows except that my foster mom says I have enough cute and cuddles for any size.  I think I will be 40-45 pounds and the perfect size to fit in just about anywhere.  Since I have gotten out of the shelter, I am crate-trained, but still working on the housebreaking because I have NOT been out of the shelter for long. It means that I don’t mind being in my crate and usually keep it clean and dry. I might holler when you first put me in my crate but my foster mom says, don’t be fooled. I’ll settle down with a blanket and toy after a little while. I just have to get used to being without my brothers and sisters and get used to my new family.  You know things change all the time for us rescued dogs.   We go from so many situations while the shelters and the rescues are trying their best to get it all just right for us.  I sleep in my crate at night. I love mealtime! I also love to chase toys. If you get me settled on a blanket next to you, I love a good snuggle time. I’m ready. Come and get me! I am spayed and healthy and loveable and snuggable and I really need a place to belong.  Can you love pretty little me?  Bridgette the golden charm that will make your life so much better.  Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask for an application for me.  Tell them where you live please…city and state. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 26, 2024, 2:09 pm
