Hi there! I’m Scraggles, a scruffy [age] old Labrador and Patterdale Terrier mix who weighs about [weight]. I would love a home with a yard, even a small one, so we can play fetch together. Playing fetch is my greatest joy in life and Ill bring the ball right back to you for another round. I walk well on a leash, enjoy rolling in the grass for belly rubs, and I love treats. I am incredibly smart and eager to learn many new things. Even though I am athletic, I am a great balance of calm and playful. I am fully potty trained and keep my kennel very clean. I have many stuffed toys that I snuggle with in my kennel until I can find a human to snuggle with me. I usually prefer being friends with female dogs and just need a little time to get to know them, but a home as the only pet is the best fit for me. Peter has been charming humans for over three years at the shelter. He’s friendly and social, but it’s the little quirks in how he does everything that make him unforgettable. Rescued in 2022 from an overcrowded shelter where he was skin-and-bones and on the euthanasia list, he’s now thriving, starring on his own beer label at Gulf Stream Brewery, and perfecting his belly rub negotiation skills. His hobbies? Sunbathing like a total diva, rolling in the grass like he’s auditioning for a rom-com, and befriending everyone at the local bar. He’s dog-friendly when properly introduced to other dogs, but not all dogs enjoy his enthusiastic roughhousing. He is very calm in his kennel and well-behaved and he never barks.
