Story
Meet August, a happy-go-lucky sweetheart who is deeply affectionate, eager to please, and highly trainable! She already knows sit, stay, and place, and heads straight to her kennel at dinner time—especially if shredded chicken is on the menu! August is incredibly loyal and protective of the people she loves. Because she has a strong prey drive and cannot live with other dogs, she is looking for a home without other pets or small animals. She would also do best in a home without young children. For the right person, August will be an affectionate, devoted companion who brings plenty of love and joy to every day.

Story
Serena came to the shelter as a stray alongside her sister, Venus. She was lucky enough to go into foster quickly, but her journey took a difficult turn when she was later found abandoned in another county. When Serena returned to us, she wasn’t in good shape and needed time, patience, and a whole lot of love to heal. Thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers, Serena has blossomed back into her affectionate, gentle self. She forms deep bonds with her people and absolutely loves being part of someone’s day, whether it’s soaking up attention, enjoying yard time, or just hanging out with her favorite humans. She’s super treat-motivated, making training fun and easy, and she keeps her kennel pretty clean. Serena has good leash manners, wonderful mouth manners, and enjoys her daily walks. She also loves her yard time and is always ready for a little play or some one-on-one affection.Serena is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations — now all she needs is a forever family who will never let her down again
