Story
Needs a foster or adopter. Meet Thumper – A Young Border Collie Lab cross Ready to Thrive! Thumper is a young, intelligent, and affectionate pup eager to find a loving home. While his exact age is unknown, he appears to be under a year old, He is a social and loving soul, craving attention and companionship. Thumper gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home where he has space to run, play, and explore. Unfortunately, the small kennel environment in boarding is not ideal for his growth, both physically and mentally. He needs a yard where she can stretch his legs and burn off energy. At around ten months old he is at a prime age for learning and bonding. He is highly intelligent, a quick learner, and eager to please, making him easy to train. Both Border Collies and Labs are known for their loyal and devoted nature, forming strong connections with their families. Their athleticism and endurance make them ideal for an active household, and their natural instincts mean they are both alert and affectionate with their people. Thumper would make a wonderful companion for an active family or individual willing to give him the exercise, training, and love he needs. Hee has the potential to become an amazing family dog, hiking buddy, or even a future working dog with proper guidance. Thumper is waiting for a home where he can grow, learn, and be loved—could that be with you? Apply today to foster or adopt. Thumper came into rescue with a companion Bambi. Story
This sweet and loving 1-year-old, 70-lb guy adores attention and will happily stand for hours just to get pets. OLIVER is people-friendly and is living with other dogs in his foster home. We don't know his behavior around cats, but he is not showing any prey drive towards the 8-lb male foster dog that lives with him. OLIVER is smart and is already house-trained and crate-trained. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion, OLIVER could be the perfect addition to your home! Story
Little miss Leoni Roe is a perfectly pretty girl with an affinity for ball and a deep love for all of humankind. If she could have it her way, she would be in bed with her people and her favorite toy. Leoni is so amazing at entertaining herself, that we could see her being a great companion for someone that works from home. The cutest thing about Leoni is how much she loves ball! This sweet girl will chase a tennis ball all day if you let her. Extra bonus points if the ball squeaks! If you are looking for a furry friend to play fetch with, Leoni is ready to meet you! Sweet Leoni is estimated to be just over two years old, and weighs in at a petite 53 pounds. We think Leoni is a Lab, Pittie mix but she is a rescue, so these are just our best guesses. Fall in love with Leoni here: https://youtu.be/JfusgW5MAm4?si=YkAvAIZr1ca2biRs With other dogs, Leoni is polite but minimally interested in play. Leoni greeted other dogs here at the rescue with sweet little kisses, and coexists well with them. We think Leoni would be happiest in a home with a medium to lower energy dog that won’t get too pushy in attempts to play. Leoni is still learning her leash manners, but already has amazing house manners. She’s a fast learner, food motivated, and a gentle treat taker! She knows how to “sit” for treats, and takes direction and correction from humans well. Super affectionate and loving, Leoni is quick to give kisses. Other dogs, humans, even her stuffies- no one is safe from Leoni’s kisses. Leoni even approaches for affection when she has the opportunity to play with other dogs, she can be found in any play yard sitting at the feet of the closest human, waiting patiently for pets. Sweet Leoni Roe is ready for her forever home. We think she could thrive as a solo dog, or as a doggy sibling to a medium to low energy dog. We do not recommend Leoni for a home with kitties! Leoni has been kid tested, and her gentle and sweet nature leads us to believe she will be a perfect family dog. She got caught snuggling on the bed with Kobe, who is 4 years old. When we say she would be the perfect work from home dog, we say this we have seen this girl in her element. While spending some time inside, she managed to entertain herself while Kobe watched YouTube on his phone meanwhile Sara and Olga both worked on their computers. She threw her toys for herself while still making time to check in on everyone for some affection. After all of that fun, she came to lay down on the bed for more snuggles. We believe that Leoni would be happier in a house than an apartment. We are willing to test Leoni Roe with anything you need us to in order to ensure she is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Meet Max, a 3.5 year old medium energy loving boy who is so ready to join his forever home. My favorite thing about Max is when you first meet him. He greets you with a gentle nudge to say hello. Anyone can walk up to meet Max and he greets them the same way. He is an easy going boy that loves to just hang out with his people. Meet Max here: Max is a versatile and adaptable dog. Although he has integrated into various dog packs his favorite playmate is a playful puppy. He lives with other dogs but his favorite companion is his person! While Max can initially be a bit reserved for a short time, he quickly warms up to those who show him kindness and patience. Max has met and enjoyed the company of older kids. He was particularly easy to hang with the 13 year old kids. He eventually will crawl into your lap and give you his paw to hold. It is his way of saying please keep loving on me. Max is a soulful sweet personable dog. His favorite spot for affection is on the side of his cheeks and under his chin. As on as you love those spots he will be attached to you like glue. When you stop petting him he will gently paw your arm like telling you to please dont stop. Max is pretty good on leash too. He was able to be walked in the neighborhood by his 13 year old friend Sadie. He listens pretty well too and knows the command sit. Max is crate and potty trained too. Max is ever so gentle when he takes treats out of your hand. He has the best manners and never jumps on his people friends either. Car riding is easy for Max too! He rides with a calm manner which makes traveling easy. When Max goes to the city park he really enjoys sniffing around and meeting new people. We think Max would love a home with a yard. He does not need dog friends but a playful easy going dog friend would be nice too. Max’s dream home is a home that will cherish him by spending time with him, taking him on strolls, and giving him pets and affection. Story
Meet Orion, a precious pup from the mythical litter! Orion is so soft and fluffy, you cant help but want to squeeze him! This little boy is ready to meet you to give you lots of puppy kisses and share his puppy breath! Are you ready to meet your new best friend? Watch Orion in action with his siblings here! https://youtu.be/PHwJ-ylmjB4?si=pLxTBFJSr_6ixusg We believe this pup to be a border collie lab mix. With rescue, we can only make our best guesses, but luckily we have momma with us too! This puppy comes from a part of the U.S. where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs YOU! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their lives and helps us save the life of another in its place. Orion is just beautiful and in a very loving foster home, where he will be safe until he travels to her forever home. The question is, is that furever home yours? Orion is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Orion’s new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. Any questions?
