Story
We found Ranger dumped at a recreation site onthe Salmon River on Halloween 2023. We have been fostering her since but with a large dog, two cats, two kids and a small yard, she needs a bigger better situation. She is less than a year old. We had a DNA test done and the results were: 58% Labrador Retriever 28% Siberian Husky 14% Australian Cattle Dog. She is not spayed yet because the vet recommends waiting till she is one year old. We think she is about 8 or nine months old now.

Story
This cutie is Petunia. She is currently 11 pounds, 13 weeks old, and we think they may be a Lab mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves her life as well as the life of another in its place. Petunia is the more easygoing of the two sisters. She is exceptionally friendly and playful. She is even more animated than her sister. Petunia likes to "army crawl" as her foster puts it when she plays with her foster sister. Her innocent and endearing demeanor is sure to capture the hearts of many. They are on a strict schedule at their foster home, breakfast by 8, followed by playtime outside, lunch between 12-1, then nap time for a couple hours then back outside. Dinner is usually around 6:30, more playtime and bedtime no later than 8:30 Petunia is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Who weighs 56 lbs but is some how bringing a ton of love and all the fun? Jerry! At one year old he has the secret to happiness unlocked, too bad he can’t tell us but he will still share it. We have no clue what a dogs breed is in rescue but Jerry has our seasoned educated guessers arguing but the final l answer is black mouth cure meets pittie. We can tell you with confidence that he is a good time and even better company. If we are going to start with just looks I want to highlight his expressive face! Maybe its because he practically has eyebrows and his forehead wrinkles up so perfectly, but he has a face that shares so much! That face only brings out his gorgeous color and shiny coat. Then there are his eyes, lined with black but the color of a golden sunset. Can you tell that I spent just a little too long looking at him? His personality is happy, friendly and goofy, with people and other dogs, and even our house-cat Tom even though the cat didn’t like his offers to play. He does get excited when the opportunity to play with other dogs is available so an equally playful dog would be the best fit for him if you are looking for a playmate. Jerry loves playing with toys including chasing a ball and playing catch with a stuffie. And even though he has energy for play he is satisfied easily and knows the importance of taking breaks to soak up the sun and get a little belly rub. Jerry has great basic leash manners, better than most 1 year old dogs and will benefit from some polishing but comes pre-loaded with a great base. You could take him on a walk straight away and he would make you proud. If you live in a walkable neighborhood he is going to be a regular on the block and may even be the first one who gets greeted by the neighbors. Thanks to his size and quiet demeanor, Jerry has potential to be an apartment boy, but only if you promise him walks and a few good toys to keep him company. If you have a yard, be prepared to watch him bounce and spin around the yard. He gets a bounce in his step when he is doing a happy run and it can even turn into a fun little spin when he is ready to play. So if you are looking for one golden brown, smokey-eyed good boy, your search is over. You found him! We call him Jerry but you can call him yours! If you have any questions about Jerry or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Meet Benji! Benji is a male, 4 year old, Miniature Poodle and Labrador Retriever blend . He is 28 pounds.Benji arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender and is participating in our Adopt From Home program. Here is what his owner has to say about him. "Benji is a very loving dog once you've grown a connection with him. He is very protective but also a big baby. Benji can be selective on his dog friends. He's never been around cats but when he's seen the cats that roam the neighborhood he does chase after them because he wants to play. He is very clingy because he wants all the attention to himself but over all he's a good dog just needs a lot of extra love."Benji would benefit from more training and mental enrichment. Benji will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. Benji is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today! If you are interested in meeting Benji, please contact Mia at miagomez831@gmail.com or (208) 565-9072
