Story
Teddy is a 4-year-old male chocolate Lab mix available for adoption at CCHS. Teddy is a big, energetic, wiggly, goofy boy who would do best in a home without younger children. He's a smart boy and knows how to sit and "shake." At nearly 100lbs, he is a bit of a chonky boy, so we recommend that adopters work with him on losing a little weight. Come meet this cutie at CCHS!

Story
Meet Bear, a 7-year-old Lab mix with an 85-pound frame and an even bigger heart. Bear is fully house-trained and crate-trained, often heading to his crate on his own when he wants to rest. However, he’s such a good boy that he can be trusted to roam freely around the house. Whether it’s snuggling in bed with you or finding his own cozy spot, Bear loves being close to his humans. Don’t let his age fool you—Bear has plenty of energy! He enjoys two walks a day, each around half a mile to a mile long. With his stamina and playful nature, he thrives on exercise and would be thrilled to have a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and play. Bear doesn’t know a stranger. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and people of all ages. His enthusiasm for making new friends is so strong that he might just pull you over to say hello. Whether it’s a furry friend or a new human, Bear is always eager to make a connection.  This is another reason that fence will come in handy. Bear is strong and would likely break a tie-out if he really wanted to go say hello and make new friends. This smart pup knows all the basic commands like sit, stay, down, and heel. He walks nicely on a leash, staying to his person’s right side, and even sits patiently at crosswalks—though he might need a reminder if another dog catches his eye. At home, Bear is pretty chill. He enjoys lounging around, following his person from room to room, and chewing on hard bones (soft toys don’t stand a chance!). His friendly, outgoing, and happy nature makes him a joy to have around. His ideal family will appreciate his energetic spirit, enjoy his playful antics, and love his affectionate nature. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion, Bear is your guy. Adopt Bear and discover just how wonderful life can be with a furry best friend by your side!   His minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.    He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Yeps is a wonderful, playful pup who is doing fantastically with house-training and excels in her crate. She's a 3-month old Lab mix who weighs 25 pounds and is likely going to be a big girl when full grown. Her exercise needs are typical of a lively puppy—she enjoys running around the house, spending time in the yard, playing with toys, and engaging with other dogs. Yeps gets along well with big dogs, small dogs, female dogs, strangers, men, and women. She’s also great with children, especially if they approach her slowly. This friendly and outgoing pup loves to play fetch, enjoys chewing on her toys, and adores sitting in your lap. She even knows a few tricks like "paw" (shake) and fetching balls and toys. Her foster mom shares that Yeps is one of the best puppies she has ever had the pleasure of caring for. Yeps loves to play but can calm down easily. She listens well when told “no” or to “leave it,” immediately complying and not returning to the behavior. She has only had one accident in the house and is not destructive or a chewer; she prefers playing with her own toys. Yeps entertains herself well but also loves playing with her foster fur sister and fur cousin. During downtime, she enjoys cuddling and sleeps through the night without accidents in her crate. She’s a polite eater, taking her time with her food. Yeps is friendly, adaptable, happy, playful, and quiet. She enjoys playing with other pups and can also entertain herself with toys. Her foster mom can't say enough good things about her—Yeps is an all-around good puppy who will make a great addition to any family. Come meet Yeps and see how this delightful pup can bring joy and laughter to your home. With her playful spirit and loving nature, Yeps is sure to be a cherished member of your family. Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
