Story
Teddy is a 4-year-old male chocolate Lab mix available for adoption at CCHS. Teddy is a big, energetic, wiggly, goofy boy who would do best in a home without younger children. He's a smart boy and knows how to sit and "shake." At nearly 100lbs, he is a bit of a chonky boy, so we recommend that adopters work with him on losing a little weight. Come meet this cutie at CCHS!

Story
Meet Bear, a 7-year-old Lab mix with an 85-pound frame and an even bigger heart. Bear is fully house-trained and crate-trained, often heading to his crate on his own when he wants to rest. However, he’s such a good boy that he can be trusted to roam freely around the house. Whether it’s snuggling in bed with you or finding his own cozy spot, Bear loves being close to his humans. Don’t let his age fool you—Bear has plenty of energy! He enjoys two walks a day, each around half a mile to a mile long. With his stamina and playful nature, he thrives on exercise and would be thrilled to have a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and play. Bear doesn’t know a stranger. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and people of all ages. His enthusiasm for making new friends is so strong that he might just pull you over to say hello. Whether it’s a furry friend or a new human, Bear is always eager to make a connection.  This is another reason that fence will come in handy. Bear is strong and would likely break a tie-out if he really wanted to go say hello and make new friends. This smart pup knows all the basic commands like sit, stay, down, and heel. He walks nicely on a leash, staying to his person’s right side, and even sits patiently at crosswalks—though he might need a reminder if another dog catches his eye. At home, Bear is pretty chill. He enjoys lounging around, following his person from room to room, and chewing on hard bones (soft toys don’t stand a chance!). His friendly, outgoing, and happy nature makes him a joy to have around. His ideal family will appreciate his energetic spirit, enjoy his playful antics, and love his affectionate nature. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion, Bear is your guy. Adopt Bear and discover just how wonderful life can be with a furry best friend by your side!   His minimum adoption fee is $195 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.    He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Meet Fiddle, the 4-month-old, 30 pound, energetic and lovable Labrador Retriever mix ready to become your new best friend! Fiddle is a typical puppy with boundless excitement and a craving for love and attention. He’s very trainable and has already mastered "sit." While he’s making progress, he’ll need continued guidance on housetraining and crate training. Fiddle loves high-energy activities like running around the yard or house, playing with toys, and chewing on bones. He’s done well with everyone he’s met, although he hasn’t been around kids yet. We anticipate he’ll do well with children but might be a little jumpy until he’s fully trained. Fiddle will thrive in a home that provides plenty of exercise for both his body and mind. While it’s not required, he would love to have a doggy friend to play with. Described as friendly, outgoing, adaptable, happy, and playful, Fiddle is sure to bring joy and laughter to any home. If you’re looking for a spirited and affectionate companion, come meet Fiddle today and see why he’s such a special pup! His minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Ebony is a beautiful 3 year old Black Labrador Retriever Mix who weighs 59.5 lbs.  She is house and crate trained, but prefers to sleep in the same room or bed as her people.  She has trouble deciding who to sleep with at night once everyone goes to their beds, but closing the bedroom door helps her settle.  She does good with dogs and people.  She met a cat, but the cat was scared which made Ebony scared as well.  She is in a foster home with teenagers and hasn't been observed with younger children, but due to her nervousness she will likely do well with children over 10 years of age.  She can be initially fearful and skittish, so it is preferred she goes to a home with a fenced in backyard.  Her foster describes her as friendly, fearful, slow to warm up, and adaptable.  Her foster shares that she is very adaptable with patience.  As she experiences people and places she does become comfortable.  It may take some patience to help her adapt to her new home.  She will likely do best in a home with few visitors. Ebony is currently Heartworm positive, but don't let that deter you! Heartworm disease is not contagious to other dogs, as it is transmitted through the bite of an infected mosquito. Ebony would love nothing more than to be in her forever home while undergoing treatment. Rest assured, Wish Bone will provide all the necessary treatment to ensure she gets healthy and happy. Her minimum adoption fee is $295  plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
