Story
Meet Kingston! He is around 4.5 years old and is a Lab/Heeler mix. He was adopted out a few years ago, but recently returned due to owners separating and no one was able to take him with. He is so sad being back here at the shelter and is not adjusting very well. We would love to get him into a home. He lived with kids and did great with them. He does need to be an only pet. He loves going for walks and playing ball. He does walk with a little bit of a limp in one of his front legs as he had broken it in the past and had surgery on it. It does not slow him down one bit! He is neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped

Story
Hi my name is Sissy. I am a 6.5 year old Lab mix and I originally came to Almost Home as a stray. I was adopted out and recently returned because I decided I know longer wanted to share my home with another dog and cats. I would love a home where I can be an only pet and be a princess. I am very nervous meeting new people. When I get super excited or nervous I smile and it scares a lot of people, but it is harmless. I love toys and you can usually find me carrying one around in my mouth. I am spayed, current on vaccines, negative for heartworm, and microchipped.

Meet Nina! She is a 4-year-old Lab/Mastiff mix and she came to us when her owners were splitting up and no one could take her with. She would probably do best in a home with no other pets or kids. She is very playful and goofy. She has the Lab goofy personality and the drool from the Mastiff. She is spayed, current on vaccines, negative for heartworm, and microchipped.

Story
Sugar is a 9mo old lab bully mix..alot more lab than bully and she's a big girl! She was loved but never exposedto the world outside of her home resulting in alot of fear..her go to is to drop to the ground and hope to the heavens that no one can see her. We are working on just walking with a leash and that's a huge ask for her..she does make progress every day. She needs a family that can help her..the biggest need is time and patience. Of you can give her alot of time fo4 a few months she will be perfect havi g a guide dog (calm and confident dog to lead her and help her learn normal dog behavior) she loves peopleand kids but does not know her size and she is very strong especially when frightened and her flight instinct kicks in. Sh3 needs a family ready to help her and give her the best life. Please contact us for your adoption application she has 6 siblings also looking for homes.

Story
Meet Blue — A Sensitive Soul With a Big Heart Blue is a 2 year, 8‑month‑old male Labrador mix with striking black and white markings and an expressive personality to match. He may start off shy and a bit vocal when he’s unsure, but that’s just his way of processing new situations. Give him patience and understanding, and you’ll watch him transform into an incredibly affectionate, loyal companion. Personality • Can be vocal when feeling nervous or uncertain • Warms up into a sweet, loving, people‑oriented dog • Enjoys backyard adventures, taking his time to sniff every interesting scent • Sensitive, thoughtful, and deeply connected once trust is built Ideal Home Blue is searching for someone who understands that confidence grows with gentle support. His perfect match will be: • Patient and willing to let him settle in at his own pace • Comfortable with a dog who may express his feelings vocally at first • Ready to provide routine, reassurance, and positive experiences • Happy to let him explore the outdoors and enjoy his slow, curious sniff‑walks Why You’ll Love Him Blue is the kind of dog who bonds deeply once he feels safe. His affection is genuine, his loyalty is heartfelt, and his curious nature makes every day a little more joyful. If you’re looking for a sensitive, loving companion who just needs time to blossom, Blue may be the perfect match.
