Story
I adopted Teik when he was a puppy because I had a house in Texas where he was abandoned, bitten by ants, and infested with fleas and ticks! I brought him to Louisiana with me and took him to the vet. He has his shots up to date and is obedient and playful. He is a very sweet dog. I can't have him anymore because I have two jobs and don't have time to be with him. I wish someone who loves dogs would take care of him so he could be happy with someone who takes him for walks. He does his business outside, not inside the house.

Story
Meet Clyde! This 4-year-old sweetheart is the perfect mix of laid-back charm and gentle goofiness. Clyde thrives on life’s simple pleasures—he loves cuddling on the couch, watching the world go by from a window, tossing his stuffies around the den, and sniffing the breeze in the backyard. He’s especially fond of crawling between your legs to soak up some top-tier booty scratches.Clyde is currently in foster care and is doing wonderfully in a home environment. He`s fully house-trained and doesn’t need a kennel—he spends his time lounging in the guest bedroom while his foster mom is at work. When he needs to go outside, he’ll quietly sit by the back door to let you know. He’s a smart boy who already knows “sit” and is working on his fetch game—his intelligence and eagerness to please really shine through! He loves the yellow lab in his foster home and generally gets along well with dogs his size. Clyde is a bit of a “vibe-checker” when it comes to new canine friends—if he senses something off, he’ll let you know, but most of the time he’s happy to make a new buddy. He’s shown lots of affection toward the kids he’s met and is very gentle with them.Clyde can be a little anxious in new environments—particularly at outdoor events with unfamiliar sounds or around new adults. It’s likely he didn’t have much exposure to the outside world in his previous home. But with gentle reassurance and guided exposure, he’s gaining confidence every day. He’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.Whether you`re looking for a low-key cuddle companion, a backyard breeze-sniffing buddy, or a sweet dog to grow and bond with, Clyde is your guy. His kind heart, gentle spirit, and silly side make him a truly special pup. He hopes you’ll take a chance on him—and maybe tell your friends about him, too!Clyde is currently in foster care outside of the shelter. Story
Meet Daisy Mae—a 3-month-old, 15-pound bundle of joy who`s equal parts playful and affectionate. This sweet girl is thriving in foster care and has proven to be a true social butterfly. She`s currently living with four dogs of various sizes and gets along wonderfully with all of them, showing a gentle and submissive play style that makes her a great companion for multi-dog households. Daisy Mae is also learning to coexist peacefully with cats. While she was initially very excited to meet them, she’s quickly learning to respect their space and is becoming more neutral around them with time. After a full day of playing hard, Daisy Mae’s favorite place to be is snuggled under the covers with her person—she’s a true cuddle bug at heart. She’s also doing great with kennel and potty training, having only had a few accidents, and is quickly picking up on the routine. If you’re looking for a fun, loving pup who will grow into a loyal companion, Daisy Mae is the perfect match. She’s currently in foster care outside of the shelter. If you’re interested in meeting her or learning more, please complete the adoption survey linked below (copy and paste into your browser): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1wOteS8GPhRFQjae4v6KbH4QX_AqvQffhmQX8LZmUijI/edit.All dogs and cats adopted through our program are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and preventative care.
