Story
Bear is a Red Fox hunting lab froma. strong line of purebred labs. He is a kind, playful, gentle dog. He is the ideal family pet. We have two young kids and he is nothing but loving and nurturing towards them. He loves to swim, can chase a ball for hours on end and be outside with people. He is a lover and snuggle bug. He is house trained and has no issues with that. He is caring and an attenive lab. Bear does have some allergies that require bi-monthly shots that are costly. This is one of the main reasons we are looking for a new home for him. We have had some recent life changes that make it difficult for us to keep up with the care and attention that he deserves in terms of his allergies.

Story
Draco is a Lab mix puppy, almost two years old but still full of playful energy. I’ve fostered him for a year, and he’s always ready for an outdoor adventure—if there’s somewhere to sniff or explore, he’s on it, tail wagging at full speed. Draco is very food-driven (treats are his weakness!), so he uses a slow feeder to keep things under control. He’s happiest with lots of space to run and really thrives in a home with a yard. Draco adores attention—he’ll nudge you and give your legs a good tail thwack to remind you he’s there. He’s great with other dogs and kids, making him the perfect fit for an active family looking for a loving, high-energy companion.

Story
Woof! I'm Iggy, the sweetest labrador mix you could ever hope to meet- seriously, I am a total doll! I may be nearly 60lbs, but I'm a certified lap dog! All that I want is to cuddle up to someone who loves me and spend all day together snuggling or playing fetch! I have so much love to give and can't wait to find a furever home with a family who will adore me. I love every person that I meet and do amazing with all other dogs- I've never met a pup that I didn't try to play with or befriend! Even though I'm an absolute sweetheart, my life hasn't always been easy... I was rescued by Beagle Freedom Project after someone witnessed me being thrown out of a moving car! Can you believe that somebody would be so cruel to a gentle and loving boy like me? Since my rescue, I've been spending every day at Beagle Freedom Project's sanctuary, Freedom Fields, where I'm busy living it up with all of my pup friends-- but what would make me happiest is to finally have the real home I've always dreamed of. I promise to be the most loyal and loving companion ever for my adopter. Could you be the person to finally choose me? In return, I'll give you all of tail wags and kisses every day! My ideal home: An active househould (I love to snuggle AND play!) My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!* *Beagle Freedom Project facilitates out-of-state adoptions, provided the adopter is able to travel to the animal's current location for pickup.* If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ Please email the Beagle Freedom Project Team with questions at: adopt@bfp.org. Story
Hi! My name is Memphis and I'm sniffing around for my forever family! I'm a sweet, active, and adventurous pup who will make the most wonderful companion. I can be a little bit shy at first because of my past... I was abandoned by my previous caretaker-- he threw me out of a moving vehicle! Can you believe that someone would be so cruel to me? When Beagle Freedom Project heart my story, they knew they had to help me. Now, I'm thriving at BFP's sanctuary and learning what it's like to be loved! Once I trust someone, all I want to do is give them affection and cuddles! Despite being 50lbs, I still think I'm a tiny lap pup! I have lots of energy, and I love to run around, play, and make people laugh with my silly personality. If you are gentle, patient, and looking for a loyal and true best friend, I'm your guy! My ideal home: An active household. My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. Story
OKAY friends. What we know... SMOKEY is a purebred Silver lab recently surrendered to our care - 1 -1/2 years old. SMOKEY needs to be your only dog and prefer someone who can train dogs. Surrendered when his prior older owner went through some traumatic losses of loved ones and could not provide the care and socialization he needed. She stated that he would go after the older dogs in the home and she could not handle him - could not offer reasoning why. We believe SMOKEY picked up on owners high stressful anxiety and became aggressive with the other older dogs in the home, not permitting them near her and resource guarding. SMOKEY is a large dog apx 75-90lbs. Has not been around any children - so we believe NO children. Prior owners vet refused euthanasia and recommended training with a professional. Thus reasoning why we are reaching out to see if there may be a qualified professional trainer willing to help. What we have observed. Seems to know some basic commands, Protective of "his" people which we now are. Was adopted as a puppy from a local breeder. Does not care for other dogs here - largely ignoring them unless they go too close to the front of his cage. Did go off on a dog when a staff member was handling that said fearful dog in front of his cage and was believed to be protecting staff. Goes outside to potty when his kennel is open. Has NOT Any issues here with all female staff. Has been in our care since January 16th. IF you think you can offer SMOKEY the professional home he needs and have no other dogs, Please send us an email to animalcontrol@osceolacountymi.gov OR find us on facebook and send a PM to Osceola County Animal Control - or give us a call at 231-832-5790. We are located in Reed City, MI and will be very selective where and whom can adopt for obvious reasons.
