Story
Hey there, I'm Skymir, your lively 1.5 year-old male black lab mix, weighing in at a solid 40 pounds. My tail never stops wagging, and my heart is as big as they come. I found myself alone in a southern shelter when I was just a puppy. I was so scared, but thankfully a kind rescuer scooped in to save me. Now I’m here in Michigan (being fostered near Coldwater) looking for my forever family!I live for those moments of butt wiggles and playful romps with my foster siblings. Chewing on a good, hard bone? It's my idea of heaven. My playful spirit shines through in everything I do, from chasing squirrels to snuggling up after a long day. I'm a quick learner, especially when treats are involved! Training sessions are my jam, and I'm always eager to please. Sometimes I get a bit too excited and might jump up, but with a little patience and guidance, I'll get the hang of it.At first, I might be a bit reserved, but give me some time, and I'll warm up to you in no time. Crisp mornings call for cuddles in my cozy crate, while sunny afternoons are perfect for basking in the warmth of the sun. I would thrive in a home with a FENCED-IN YARD where I can run and explore to my heart's content. Whether I'm playing with another dog or keeping an active family on their toes, I'm happiest when I have company.I’m fully-vetted l, housebroken, crate-trained and ready to join your family with an adoption fee of $300. Questions? Shoot an email to projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to make me a part of your family? Fill out an application by visiting our website at www.projecthoperescue.org. Story
Hi! I’m Samantha, the happy and affectionate 55lb, 1-year-old female black Lab mix on a quest for my forever home! My journey started on the streets of Texas, where I was found as a stray and ended up in a shelter. I was saved just in time and now I’m here, being fostered in Byron Center, Michigan, hoping to find a family to call my own. You really need to see me in person to appreciate what a beautiful dog I am!I’m a bundle of joy just waiting to bring warmth and companionship to your life. I absolutely love to play, especially when I’m frolicking around with other doggy pals. I’ll definitely need a FULLY FENCED-IN YARD so I can run and play until my heart’s content. I’m also longing for a fur-sibling to share all my adventures with.I’ve got all the skills for family life down pat. From crate-training to housebreaking, I’m all set and ready to go. And let me tell you, I’m a quick learner! My food motivation and easy trainability make me a breeze to work with, and my impeccable house manners reflect my gentle nature.Fully-vetted and bursting with love and loyalty, I can’t wait to find my forever family. My adoption fee is $300, but the love and joy I’ll bring into your life? Priceless. If you have any questions about me, just shoot an email to projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Story
Hey there! I'm Daniel, the happy-go-lucky 9-month-old, 55-pound male black Lab & German Shepherd mix eagerly looking for my forever family! At only 4 months old, I ended up in an overcrowded southern shelter with a broken leg, but now I’m all healed up and ready for my forever home! I don’t want to brag, but I’ve been told that I would make a GREAT therapy dog! Also, get a load of these EARS - I move them independently like antennas, it’s very charming. Some important things about me - I’m good on a leash, enjoy going for car rides, and get along with everyone I meet. And, boy, do I LOVE water! You should see me swim! People say that I'm really smart and that I learn really fast. The secret to me learning new things is TREATS!! I love treats! Since I'm still a kind of young, I do need someone who wants to teach me how to be the very best dog I can be, make sure I get lots of exercise, and challenge my super smart brain! And, when it comes to chillin' out...I’m a great snuggler and love to settle down for a good nap. Give me a nice cozy dog bed and I'm set for the night! As you can see, I'm a handsome fellow who loves kids and other dogs. I haven’t been exposed to cats yet, so I might meet them with curiosity, but I think we’d be ok. Since I am still a youngster, I have a lot of energy, so need a family who will take me on walks or runs, play fetch, frisbee and tug of war, or best of all....I would really LOVE another canine sibling that I can play with! I will definitely need a home with a fully FENCED-IN YARD. I love playing with other fun dogs and respectful kids! (I'm trying hard to learn not to jump on people for attention). Due to my youthful energy, homes with babies and toddlers are not a good fit for me right now.I’m housebroken, crate-trained (though it’s not my favorite place to be), fully-vetted and my adoption fee is $350. I am currently being fostered in South Bend, Indiana, but if you're in Michigan, don’t worry, we can make it happen. So, what do you say? Are you looking for a tall, dark, handsome, smart, fun, sweet and energetic guy to join your family? If you have any questions, please email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to welcome me into your home? Fill out an application by visiting our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.I would love to meet you!May 20, 2024, 3:40 pm

Story
Evie is a 4 year old Lab/Shepard mix. We rescued her about 2 years ago. Since that time we have noticed protective and resource guarding behavior with other animals in our home. We just had our first born and she has taken that possession a little too far for our comfort. We ask that the adopters have a no other pets. Not that she hasn't lived with other animals yet. This is hard for us to do. Thank you
