Story
Meet your best boy Lucky Charms! He is a lab mix sitting around 53lbs and 4yrs old. Lucky Charms is such a sweetheart of a boy! He absolutely adores snacks and was rather intrigued by a tennis ball. He walks decently on leash, especially if you`ve got a treat pouch with you. He is still quite new to us so we haven`t gotten to see him around kids/cats/other dogs yet. Adoption fee is $200 plus tax. We do our very best in providing truthful information about our adoptable dogs. If you do not see information about one of our dogs’ personalities, it is because we do not know much about them yet. We do appreciate a dog meet and greet to see if the dogs are compatible, an appointment is helpful but not required. We can complete a cat introduction at the shelter in a safe manner to get a sense of the dog’s behavior towards cats. With that knowledge, we will provide a blanket statement that you are ultimately responsible for keeping your cat safe. We recommend crate training for all our dogs while they adjust to a new home environment. Please bring along your family to meet the dog you’re looking at to see that it is a good fit. Also bring landlord permission for adopting a dog which includes any breed or weight restrictions.

Story
Hi! I am Nymeria, but also go by 'Nee-Mee'. I am an adult, female dog that is mix of Husky and Yellow Labrador. I have spent most of my life with one owner, in an apartment setting and I came to the shelter after my owner had to move out of state. My personality can be described as cuddly, affectionate, loyal and a people-pleaser. I enjoy playing with my toys and love to be by people. I adore hugs, kisses and pets. I am extremely loyal and I adore being by people. When I was a puppy, I was attacked by another dog and I got really hurt. This experience has shaped my relationship with other dogs. They are super scary to me and I am not sure if they are going to hurt me. I will bark a lot when I see a dog and I am trying to tell them to not approach. For this, I need to be the only dog in the home. I do love to go out on walks, play at the park and exercise my long legs. Despite being an older adult, I still have lots of energy and I love to play with toys, squeakers and various dog toys. I am not wild or crazy like a puppy but I am not sedentary like an older senior aged dog. I am 'just right' in the temperament and energy department. I am spayed, and I am up to date on my vaccines - bordetella, distemper and rabies. I have been Heartworm, Erhlichlia, Lyme's and Anaplasma tested and I am negative for all. I receive routine flea and tick preventatives, monthly as well as some well deserved pampering periodically: brushing, nail trims & ear cleaning. My ideal home includes an active home where I can still go out, run and play with my family. I have not been around small children. My shelter family says I likely would do ok with children but they need to understand and respect my boundaries. It is important that they respect me because I only want to love and care for my family and not get hurt. I have not been around cats so I do not know how I would do with them. I need a family that is caring, compassionate and loving. I want a family that is patient, willing to give me what I need: a warm bed, plenty of good food & clean water, and good ol' pets and love. Once I warm up, I enjoy being pet and loved on. It may take me some time to warm up - so it is important my new family is patient with me and allowing me to warm up in my own time. My shelter family works tirelessly to ensure I and my friends go to the right family. If you feel that person is you, I'd love to meet you. Please submit an application if you'd like to be considered becoming my family!

Story
Meet your future shadow, snuggle buddy, and resident goofball—all wrapped up in one big, lovable package. This handsome Newfoundland–Lab mix is a gentle giant in the making. He’s on the larger side and still figuring out just how big he really is, which sometimes means he gets a little extra enthusiastic—especially when he’s excited to see his favorite people. (Translation: he may greet you with a joyful hop or two.) With a bit of continued guidance, he’ll grow into his size beautifully—but for now, his happy energy is part of his charm. Underneath that big, bouncy exterior is a truly good boy. He already knows his basic commands and is house trained, so he’s off to a fantastic start. He’s eager to please and loves being part of whatever you’re doing—especially if it involves him being the center of attention. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be near you at all times, he’s your guy. He thrives on companionship and absolutely adores people. Whether it’s lounging at your feet, soaking up pets, or tagging along on adventures, he just wants to be included. And when it comes to outdoor time, he’s all in—he loves going for walks and putting that nose to work, taking in every interesting scent along the way. If you’re ready for a big-hearted, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling (and on your toes), this sweet, slightly clumsy lovebug might be your perfect match.

Story
We have had Marley since she was 9 months old, she will be 9 in September. We are about to have our third baby and our family is just not home enough for Marley. She doesn't get to go outside as much as she should. She loves to run around and play fetch. She is good with our two girls who are 3 and 5. Once we had our now 3 year old, she got some anxiety and hasn't been in a kennel since. She does good with roaming the house free, as long as you have no food out. She is not good with other dogs as she is very protective of her house and family. We would love Marley to go to a family that has much more time on their hands and able to let her run outside.
