Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi!!! I’m Laddie Boy  I’m a one-year-old, 55-pound Labradoodle mix with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. If you’re looking for a sweet, happy, always-ready-for-adventure kind of guy, I might just be your perfect match. Let me tell you a little about myself… I’m completely house trained, yes I’m a gentleman, and I take that very seriously. I love going for walks, the longer the better, and I have plenty of energy to keep up with an active family. Fetch? Yes please. Tug? Absolutely. Zoomies in the yard? My specialty. I could happily play all day and still have tail wags left over. In my foster home, I get along great with the other dogs. I love having buddies to wrestle and romp with, and I’m respectful of their boundaries when they let me know they need a break. As for cats, well… I think they are VERY interesting and I am quite determined to convince them to play with me. Because of that, I’d do best in a home without cats, or with very dog savvy cats who have a safe place to retreat when I get a little too enthusiastic about friendship. At night, I’m a total cuddle bug and sleep right in bed with my humans. When they’re away, I go into my crate like a good boy and settle in nicely until they come home. At the end of the day, I’m just a super sweet boy who wants love, activity, and a family to call my own. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will keep you moving, laughing, and feeling loved every single day, I’m ready to pack my bags. Could that be with you?  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $ 300 plus tax Luna is an 8-year-old female Lab mix with a gentle soul and a friendly heart. She is an easygoing, affectionate dog who enjoys companionship and has a playful side that still shines through. Luna is described as calm, approachable, and happy to be around her people and canine friends. She has lived successfully with other dogs and does well meeting new people, greeting them with a friendly demeanor. While she hasn’t had much exposure to children, she has shown no concerning behaviors and is generally described as sweet and sociable. Luna’s world was turned upside down after her owner passed away, and through no fault of her own, she is now looking for a new loving home. She would thrive in a family that can give her stability, affection, and help her on a gentle weight-loss journey so she can feel her best in her golden years. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who is past the puppy chaos and ready to enjoy a relaxed, happy life by your side, Luna could be the perfect match. Story
Jessi is a 10-month-old lab/Jack Russell terrier mix with a striking black and white coat and a whole lot of personality packed into her young frame. She’s playful, affectionate, and absolutely loves people and dogs. She does great with adults, kids, and larger dogs. Jessi can be reactive toward small animals like cats and squirrels, and while she isn’t necessarily aggressive, her enthusiasm and rough-and-tumble play style would likely be too much for small dogs or cats. If she spots a squirrel or exciting bird on a walk, she’s all in and will pull hard to investigate. Jessi is mostly potty trained and continues to improve with patience and a consistent routine. She has a strong preference for using her home yard. She will pee there before walks and currently only poops in the yard, so planning a quick potty break before heading out is helpful. She’s crate trained and willingly goes into her kennel, though she can be quite vocal when confined, because of this, we recommend covering her crate to help her settle. It would also be best to place her kennel in a low traffic area. She also becomes vocal when other dogs are barking, or when there’s activity outside the home or at the door. She walks on a leash and does especially well with a waist or hands-free leash. She responds better to direction and pulls less compared to a standard leash. She loves walks, car rides, and playtime, so an active household would be a great fit for her. Jessi is goofy, affectionate, and eager to engage with her people. She does have a habit of jumping up to greet new friends, but she’s already improving and takes correction well. Continued work on impulse control will help her shine even more. She’s also an accomplished escape artist. Jessi has been known to clear a 6-foot fence if something exciting catches her eye, so secure containment and supervision are important. A tracking collar would not be a bad idea. When it comes to toys and beds, Jessi has opinions. Stuffed beds and plush toys don’t stand a chance, so no blankets and mat-style beds are best. She absolutely loves her red original Kong and toys of similar durability. Jessi is a happy, energetic young dog who thrives with structure, activity, and engagement. With the right home, she’ll be a fun, loyal companion who keeps life lively and full of smiles. Jessi is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 02/20/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
