You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!         Knight may look like a 50&#226&#128&#145pound puppy, but don’t be fooled—inside that growing lab&#226&#128&#145mix body lives the tender heart of a tiny field mouse. At just five months old, he’s already a gentle giant in training, complete with big paws, big feelings, and an even bigger desire to snuggle directly into your ribcage. He’s sweet, goofy, and wonderfully polite for a puppy. Knight gets along with every dog he meets and would happily join a home with furry friends. He’s smart too—so smart that he already rings a bell to ask to go outside, which is basically Ivy League behavior in the dog world. He’s almost fully potty trained, walks nicely on leash (with a little wiggly enthusiasm), and is eager to please. Knight loves to play, explore, and then collapse dramatically into your lap like he’s made of melted marshmallow. He’s working on crate training, though he has some opinions about it and likes to voice them before settling down. A fenced yard is best for him right now since he’s still learning the ropes and has the curiosity of a toddler in a gift shop. He’s gentle, affectionate, even&#226&#128&#145tempered, and ready to be someone’s loyal best friend. If you’re looking for a puppy who’s equal parts adventurer, cuddle buddy, and future couch&#226&#128&#145hogging soulmate, Knight is ready to trot into your life and claim your heart. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours, or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is to place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Argo is a gentle, affectionate Shepherd mix with a calm, easygoing personality and the softest, most soulful eyes. At 60–70 pounds, he’s a medium&#226&#128&#145sized boy with a big heart and a wonderfully mellow temperament. He loves everyone he meets and is fantastic with other dogs—so much so that the Arkansas shelter used him as their “tester dog” because of his steady, friendly nature. He’s neutered, fully potty trained, and crate trained—as long as it’s a wire crate. (He’s a bit of a Houdini with plastic ones!) When he’s tired, he’ll put himself to bed and snooze peacefully. Argo loves playing fetch, chasing his foster brother around the yard, and enjoying toys and walks. He’s gentle, intelligent, eager to please, and knows several commands including sit, come, shake, and kennel. Argo would thrive with a fenced yard, where he can safely enjoy outdoor playtime. He’s slightly active with a moderate energy level—happy to romp and play, but also content to relax and be a lap&#226&#128&#145leaning companion. He takes treats very gently and is a quiet dog who rarely barks. He’s friendly with adults and great with other dogs. He hasn’t been tested with cats or young kids, but because he gets excited to see his people and may softly jump up, he’d do best with older or considerate children (10+). He could be an only dog, but he truly enjoys canine companionship and would love a friendly dog buddy in his new home. Argo is a sweet, even&#226&#128&#145tempered, loving dog who brings warmth and joy wherever he goes. He’s the kind of companion who fits easily into your life and makes every day a little brighter. Whoever adopts him will be incredibly lucky to call him family. Story
Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Older and respectful Weight: 22lbs Age: 16 weeks Potty Training: Going Great! Meet Kiba - a spunky, fluffy, cuddly puppy with a huge personality. Kiba was rescued from a reservation in South Dakota, and he couldn’t be happier to be a house pup now! He absolutely loves to play with people if they’re willing to gently roll around on the floor with him, but he also will happily keep himself entertained with toys and bones for long periods of time. He’s been doing great on walks and he loves to go on them, though he hasn’t figured out how to walk in a straight line yet (he’s trying hard)! He adores my larger dog and would love another dog to play with. He also lives and plays wonderfully with my small dog and cat. After a good play session, he loves to snuggle up next to you on the couch or right at your feet. Kiba enjoys slowly and gently meeting new people friends and is sweet with everyone. His potty training has been going excellent, and often goes the entire day without an accident inside if let outside regularly. He keeps his kennel clean when I have to leave the house, but he does bark and whine for a little while to start. At night he sleeps in the kennel quietly next to my bed. Kiba is the sweetest boy with the biggest heart, anyone would be lucky to have him join their family.

Story
Duckie is a lovable yellow Lab puppy with a heart as soft as his ears! True to his name, he loves to stick close to his people and would happily spend his whole day curled up in your lap soaking up cuddles. This playful boy enjoys romping around with the other foster pups in his home and is always ready to join in on a game. He’s still very much a puppy, so you may get some gentle nibbling on fingers and toes when he’s excited or wants to play — nothing some fun toys and basic training won’t fix! Duckie is highly food-motivated and loves treats, which makes him eager to learn and a great candidate for training. He’s sweet, social, and full of happy puppy energy, balanced perfectly with his love for snuggles. If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate pup who will follow you from room to room and fill your home with love and laughter, Duckie might just be your perfect match. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
