Dave is a sweet, goofy five-year-old dog whom I adopted from Everlasting Hope Rescue when he was a year and a half old. He is house-trained, knows simple commands, loves being outdoors, and is full of energy. Unfortunately, Dave has shown signs of food and attention aggression. While he has lived with my two other dogs for years, there have been occasional conflicts. Most recently, he was aggressive toward my ten-year-old female dog over treat crumbs. Additionally, he occasionally wakes up disoriented late at night and acts aggressively for a brief moment. For this reason, he no longer sleeps in our bed. Due to these behaviors, I highly recommend he be the only animal in the household. It is heartbreaking to be in this situation because I love him very much, and I want to ensure he finds a loving home rather than sitting in a shelter. Ill gladly pay his initial vet visit and round of shots, we just want to find a caring and supportive environment for Dave where he can thrive.
