Story
Kubo, who was previously named Wilder was returned to us this week. His family is devastated and miss Kubo so much but they had to make a really hard decision. We are dedicated to finding Kubo another loving home. Here is what Kubo's previous family had to say about this amazing boy! "Kubo (aka "Kubo and the Two Floofers") - affectionately named for the movie ‘Kubo and the Two Strings' is a happy, playful, and precious 1.5-year-old black lab mix. He loves walks and singing to you the song of his people. He will sit for a treat or anything that he perceives as a treat for exactly 2.8 seconds before the wiggles and excitement overtake him. House trained and crate trained for working away from home during the day (he comes with a giant one) and will keep you warm in the bed at night which is good because he also hogs the covers while stretching to the length of the bed. ?? His previous family absolutely adores him and extremely reluctantly had to bring him back to his first home at the Humane Society as they were asked to become emergency guardians of a preschooler who is afraid of dogs. That being said Kubo is known to jump up on household members as a friendly greeting and needs some help with training so a patient family with older children is preferable over young ones. Kubo loves to play fetch, has wonderful buddies at The Dog Play Spot where he's attended now and then for afternoon bubble parties in the Playful Crew and gets along well with other dogs/puppies. He did have an unrequited love for a cat he shared his previous home with. Unfortunately the cat never returned the affection or desire to play.Kubo will never let you go to the bathroom alone just in case you need a buddy but is afraid of the bath/water. Kubo will make a great addition to a single person seeking a companion that snores like a human after a long day or a loving family that likes to PLAY! Kubo's happy goofy demeanor will be sure to bring a smile to your face!"If you are looking for an adventure dog who LOVES other dogs and playing fetch Kubo is the dog for you! Story
Meet Dustin D. McDusterson (aka Dusty to his friends). Dusty is a ladies' man, but not the type that does you wrong. Dusty is comfortable in his manhood so he happily cuddles with toys of all type., Dusty is looking to rescue a human. Dusty is open to rescue a male or a female human, so put in your applications because Dusty needs to decide who needs him the most. But in all seriousness Dustin is a wonderful dog that would do great in almost any home. He is house-trained and does great in a crate other than a little bit of barking at fist but he's getting better everyday. Dustin's favorite thing to do is cuddling on the couch or chewing on a bone.

Story
Lab lovers listen up! This gorgeous girl is new to HSEC! Mila was recently surrendered due to no fault of her own. Mila is very people-oriented and loves kids! You will always know she is happy to see you because once that tail starts wagging, her whole body moves with it!In her previous home, Mila lived with cats, kids, and 2 senior dogs. At the facility, she is apprehensive around high-energy dogs and would definitely do best with slow introductions or as a single dog. ]

Story
Happy is a sweet and gentle giant. She will sit and let my 5 yo dress her up and cuddle her in their cool living room camp outs. She cannot get enough kisses and cuddles and she will wiggle her bum so hard her tail is dangerous:) She sleeps in my bed. She needs a blanky to suck on when she falls asleep. She loves chew toys but needs the toughest ones. She’s very strong and she does pull on a leash. I love her so much but I cannot take her on my move so she needs a new home by 5/1.
