Story
Since Shadow has been with us, (10/3/25) he has been a happy go lucky guy. He has met one of our smaller dogs and is interested in playing but also takes cues from the other dog. His perfect home would have no small children, a fenced in yard, and someone willing to exercise him to help his reach his ideal weight. He spent the last 2 years living in an apartment where he was not getting adequate exercise and was allowed to eat all day. He does have quite a bit of weight to lose. He is a playful guy and has lived with a smaller female dog for 2 years. His family gave him up after he and the wife fell down the stairs and he bit her. Since then he has shown some defensive behavior when it comes to being leashed and getting a harness or collar on. We have had no issues with a collar or leash. His family was going to have him euthanized. Prior to his previous family getting him, he was dropped off at petsmart for boarding and was never picked up. Please give him a happy home!

Story
Looking to rehome our 6-year-old Lab mix to a loving home. This has been a tough decision, but I have severe allergies and realized he needs a home where everyone can be comfortable long-term. He’s a goofy, sweet boy with a fun personality. He has good energy and enjoys being active, but he’s also perfectly happy hanging around and being your buddy. He’s 6 years old, so he’s past the puppy chaos stage but still has plenty of life and playfulness in him. He does well with other dogs. We’re unsure about cats, but with proper introductions he’d likely adjust. He would probably thrive in a home that can give him regular exercise and attention. He is UTD on all vaccinations and records are able to be provided. He is leash, house and crate trained; knows his commands and listens well when directed.
