Story
Zeke is a gentle, soft-hearted dog who has been through a lot. He came from a home where his elderly owner passed away, and he’s been trying to adjust to all the changes in his world. He is loving, sensitive, and wonderful with other dogs, kids, and even cats. Zeke doesn’t do well in crates they make him anxious, especially at night but when he’s allowed to choose his own cozy spot, he relaxes and sleeps peacefully. He thrives in calm homes where he can free-roam and feel safe. He’s the kind of dog who quietly follows you from room to room and just wants to be near his people.

Story
Buddy Boy is a sweet, affectionate boy with a calm temperament, especially for a Lab. He’s on the more relaxed side and loves nothing more than being close to his people. He is a big cuddle bug and truly enjoys soaking up attention and affection. Buddy Boy is dog friendly, but he will need the right environment to thrive. He must be placed in a home without children or small animals. He does have food aggression around kids and other animals, and can also guard food if it’s taken away from him. With proper structure and management—such as feeding separately and respecting his space—this behavior can be safely and effectively managed in an experienced, adult-only home. At this time, Buddy Boy is not fully house broken. We are hopeful that once he is neutered, this will improve with consistency and routine. He will benefit from a patient owner who can help reinforce good habits and provide structure. Buddy Boy would do best in a calm, adult-only home that understands his needs and can provide clear boundaries around feeding time. In return, he offers steady companionship, a gentle presence, and lots of snuggles. He’s a loving dog who simply needs the right setup to shine.

Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Woof! I'm Iggy, the sweetest labrador mix you could ever hope to meet- seriously, I am a total doll! I may be nearly 60lbs, but I'm a certified lap dog! All that I want is to cuddle up to someone who loves me and spend all day together snuggling or playing fetch! I have so much love to give and can't wait to find a furever home with a family who will adore me. I love every person that I meet and do amazing with all other dogs- I've never met a pup that I didn't try to play with or befriend! Even though I'm an absolute sweetheart, my life hasn't always been easy... I was rescued by Beagle Freedom Project after someone witnessed me being thrown out of a moving car! Can you believe that somebody would be so cruel to a gentle and loving boy like me? Since my rescue, I've been spending every day at Beagle Freedom Project's sanctuary, Freedom Fields, where I'm busy living it up with all of my pup friends-- but what would make me happiest is to finally have the real home I've always dreamed of. I promise to be the most loyal and loving companion ever for my adopter. Could you be the person to finally choose me? In return, I'll give you all of tail wags and kisses every day! My ideal home: An active househould (I love to snuggle AND play!) My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!* *Beagle Freedom Project facilitates out-of-state adoptions, provided the adopter is able to travel to the animal's current location for pickup.* If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ Please email the Beagle Freedom Project Team with questions at: adopt@bfp.org. ABOUT BEAGLE FREEDOM PROJECT: Beagle Freedom Project is the world's leading organization for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research. Story
Hi! My name is Memphis and I'm sniffing around for my forever family! I'm a sweet, active, and adventurous pup who will make the most wonderful companion. I can be a little bit shy at first because of my past... I was abandoned by my previous caretaker-- he threw me out of a moving vehicle! Can you believe that someone would be so cruel to me? When Beagle Freedom Project heart my story, they knew they had to help me. Now, I'm thriving at BFP's sanctuary and learning what it's like to be loved! Once I trust someone, all I want to do is give them affection and cuddles! Despite being 50lbs, I still think I'm a tiny lap pup! I have lots of energy, and I love to run around, play, and make people laugh with my silly personality. If you are gentle, patient, and looking for a loyal and true best friend, I'm your guy! My ideal home: An active household. My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. This precious little heart is searching for a forever family to love. 💛 Bubba is a sweet 6-year-old dog who loves cuddles, playtime, and being close to the people he loves. Story
Ziva is a sweet, dog-friendly girl who can be a little shy at first. She may get scared in new situations, but with patience and reassurance, she starts to feel more comfortable and lets her gentle personality shine. She is sensitive to loud noises and can be startled, so a calm, steady home would help her feel safe and confident. Ziva does well on a leash and enjoys her walks, especially when she knows her person is right there with her. When it comes to cats, she may bark or seem unsure at first because they make her nervous. However, with a slow, proper introduction, she could potentially learn to coexist peacefully. Ziva is treat motivated, which is a great tool for building her confidence and continuing her training. With a little patience and a lot of love, she’ll blossom into a loyal and devoted companion.
