My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Memphis and I'm sniffing around for my forever family! I'm a sweet, active, and adventurous pup who will make the most wonderful companion. I can be a little bit shy at first because of my past... I was abandoned by my previous caretaker-- he threw me out of a moving vehicle! Can you believe that someone would be so cruel to me? When Beagle Freedom Project heart my story, they knew they had to help me. Now, I'm thriving at BFP's sanctuary and learning what it's like to be loved! Once I trust someone, all I want to do is give them affection and cuddles! Despite being 50lbs, I still think I'm a tiny lap pup! I have lots of energy, and I love to run around, play, and make people laugh with my silly personality. If you are gentle, patient, and looking for a loyal and true best friend, I'm your guy!

My ideal home: An active household.

My location: NOWATA, OK

*Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!*

*Beagle Freedom Project facilitates out-of-state adoptions, provided the adopter is able to travel to the animal's current location for pickup.*

Additional adoption info

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION PROCESS: Standardly, Beagle Freedom Project does not facilitate animal meet and greets. Instead, we begin all BFP adoptions with a trial-period; this is called ‘fostering-to-adopt’. At BFP, we believe that the best way for an adopter to be certain that an animal is their perfect match is by giving them an opportunity to truly know each other before finalizing an adoption. As BFP animals come from such traumatic pasts, they can often be shy upon a first meeting. Foster-to-adopt trials allow these special animals an opportunity to decompress and show their authentic personality before an official adoption decision is made.
