Story
Meet Pine Nut: A Big Ball of Energy Looking for Room to RunPine Nut is an 11-month-old male Lab mix with VERY high energy and a huge love for life. He’s always on the go and will need a home where he can burn off his energy through play, exercise, and enrichment. Pine Nut is incredibly affectionate and may jump up to greet you with love, so he’ll benefit from continued training to help channel his enthusiasm.Because he can be unaware of just how big he is, Pine Nut would be best suited for a home with kids aged 10 and up who can handle his size and excitement. He absolutely loves canine companions, and it is strongly preferred that he go to a home with another dog who can help him play, learn, and thrive. Due to his strong prey drive, a home with cats and other small animals is not recommended.Although this beautiful ray of sunshine came to us positive for Lyme disease, with antibiotics and a little TLC from our caring staff, Pine Nut is thriving and doing well. He will only need antibiotics for Lyme when he has a flare up, and it`s reccomended to continue monthly flea & tick treatment for further prevention. He is also on a special diet for the health of his liver and he will likely need to be kept on this diet moving forward: Royal Canin LD.Pine Nut is not suited for apartment living and will do best in a home with plenty of space where he can run, explore, and truly be a (Pine) Nut. With the right environment, training, and companionship, Pine Nut will make a wonderfully fun and loyal family member.

Story
Hiya, I'm Elwood! Before I came to PDA I never saw much of the outside world. Most of my time was spent in my crate.  I'm still getting used to all of the new things I'm trying. My favourite part was meeting other dogs. I was a little nervous at first but now I love to play - especially with the ladies! I've made a few girlfurriends and am known for being a bit of a flirt. There are a few new things I don't like... I can be sensitive about being touched and I don't like being told what to do. I also don't like when people touch my stuff but hey, I've never had such nice stuff!! Handlers at PDA say i'm warming up quickly and with enough love and patience I'll make a great dog!. Breed: Lab mix, approx 45lbs DOB: August 2024
