Matilda spent her first several months living primarily outdoors&#44 then was surrendered to the shelter when she was just seven months old. Since March 2025&#44 Matilda has sat and waited with almost no interest&#44 quietly becoming one of the shelters longest-stay dogs. She appears to be a lab/pit mix&#44 and while her life hasnt been easy&#44 her heart is pure gold. Despite never really knowing what its like to be loved&#44 Matilda gives love in spades. She is friendly with everyone she meets&#44 full of personality&#44 and always ready to charm. She poses for pictures (model energy&#44 honestly)&#44 and she has this joyful&#44 goofy presence that makes people smile without even trying. Matilda is the kind of dog who brings light into a room just by existing in it. With other dogs&#44 she plays pretty ruff&#44 so shed love dog friends who match her fun&#44 rowdy play style and arent afraid to wrestle a little. Right now&#44 Matilda is at risk&#44 and the shelter environment is not where a dog like her is meant to grow up. She deserves to know what it feels like to be wanted&#44 to be someones first choice&#44 to finally have a soft bed&#44 steady meals&#44 and a human who looks at her like shes their whole world. All she needs is one family to see how good she already is&#44 and how incredible she can be in a real home.
