Story
Yogi just turned 1 in May. I got her from the shelter in February, where she was listed as a stray. She very timid and jumps and sudden noises or movements. She needs more space than my small apartment to become more confident I believe. She likes to eat when you’re not looking at her. She is very sweet and loves to move around outside.

Story
Animal Rescue of Crosby County REQUIRES secure and safe fenced yards or fenced areas (apartments) for all ADOPTIONS. NO EXCEPTIONS! Jackson is a Shar Pei/Lab mix. He is approximately 3.5 years old and weighs 60lbs. Jackson is a great dog but needs an experienced owner. He has lots of energy and can be mouthy. He can be corrected and wants to learn. Some obedience training would be a great benefit for him. He came into our rescue with another female dog but we believe he should be an only dog. He has not been tested with cats. Due to his excitable energy level, we do not recommend a home with small children.  ##1122493##

Story
Animal Rescue of Crosby County REQUIRES secure and safe fenced yards or fenced areas (apartments) for all ADOPTIONS. NO EXCEPTIONS! Laila and her sister Claire were picked up by the city of Lorenzo after there were complaints about the owners not caring for them. They would go days without water or food. They were picked up as puppies and were to go on transport out of state but that fell thru so they came to ARCC to be cared for. Laila and Claire were named after two girls that are a blessing to our rescue and help tremendously.  They are kenneled separate but with other dogs and get along with others. They are also great with people and love attention. They were brought in as puppies so they wouldn’t be house trained but of course that could be learned. They also do good on a leash. We haven’t seen any food aggression with either one of them and they ride great in a car. Energy level would be high since they are both still pretty young and playful. ##1289313##

Story
Darla first came to the shelter when she was a pup. She was adopted in 2019 and returned to us recently when her owner's living arrangement changed. She is a real sweetheart and loves to be loved. She is house broken and leash trained. Darla is a lovely, lively young girl, active and affectionate. She loves to snuggle into a comfy lap and have her belly rubbed. She likes to give kisses, too. She mixes well with other dogs, and enjoys the company of children (though she may be a bit too enthusiastic for the very youngest of toddlers).
