Story
Louie comes from a home with many other dogs, but due to owner health was surrendered to the shelter. He was able to come out of his shell and enjoy shelter staff pets as well as playing in the outdoor area. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would do best in a home with pup siblings. He made fast friends with his Anna's foster sibling Cheese Stick! Louis is working hard on potty training and is down to a few accidents. Crate training is going great with Louis and continued support he will be ready in no time! He will be shy entering a new home, but he is sweet and happy boy ready to join a family. ‍ test pending  ##2694433##

Story
Brenda is a happy girl and enjoys the company and play time with other pups. She would do fantastic with siblings! She's loves toys and romping around the backyard.  Brenda does need some time to settle and warm up with people. She was cat tested and didn't bother the cats, but she was nervous since there are many new things to her.   She is in foster care with younger children. She does great taking treats from them in her crate, but has been scared around the little ones toys like ride ons. No problems with the 8 year old in the home. She would do best with older children in the home due to her nervousness with kids toys. ##2693939##

Story
***LOCAL ADOPTION IN TEXAS ONLY*** Meet Rufus He's not for everyone, but that's what makes him special!   Rufus is a gentle, sensitive boy who forms strong bonds with “his person.” Once he trusts you, his personality really starts to shine—he’ll get excited for meal times, follow your routine, and just enjoy being near you.   He loves spending time in the backyard and feels most comfortable hanging out with his dog friends. Other dogs help him feel more at ease, so a home with a calm, confident pup or two would be a great fit.   Rufus is nervous around new people and in unfamiliar situations. He may not immediately take treats from someone he doesn’t know yet, but that’s because trust means everything to him. With time, patience, and consistency, he continues to make progress and build confidence.   He’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will let him go at his own pace and celebrate the little wins along the way. In the right environment, Rufus will be a deeply loyal and rewarding companion.   Rufus will need a dedicated person or family to give him time and small steps towards a loving life.   ##2566466##

Story
Meet Obi!Obi may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he trusts you, he’s all about playtime and cuddles. He’s a high-energy guy who loves playing with other dogs—especially ones who can keep up with his enthusiasm, since he can be a bit rough-and-tumble when he plays. Tennis balls are Obi’s absolute favorite, and he could happily chase them for hours. He does show some separation anxiety, so a tidy home works best for him (he might go looking for mischief otherwise), but chew toys and bones have been very helpful. The good news? Obi does great in a kennel and doesn’t seem to experience anxiety when crated. Obi would thrive in a home with a dog sibling and with someone patient and understanding who will give him time to settle in. Once he does, you’ll have a loyal, playful, cuddle-loving companion for life. Obi was surrendered after his family could no longer care for him. Obi is one of the friendliest dogs. He always has a smile on his face, and his tail is always wagging! Obi does fantastically with other dogs and would thrive in a family with other pups. Obi walks well on a leash and listens to commands. With his charming personality, he's sure to win anyone over! He did well on his cat test at the shelter and was courteous (video attached to profile), but he has not lived with cats that we are aware of.  ##2628527##

Story
Meet Memphis — A Big Personality Looking for the Right Match Memphis is a loving, intelligent, high-energy dog with a huge zest for life. He thrives on routine, activity, and connection with his people. If you’re looking for a constant companion who wants to be involved in everything you do, Memphis may be your guy. He is house trained, food motivated, loves car rides, and settles beautifully in the home once his physical and mental needs are met. During the day, especially when his people are home, he is calm, affectionate and enjoys a good chew toy but is just as happy to stretchout and enjoy a nap. Memphis is not an aggressive dog, but he is an intense dog. He becomes easily overexcited, particularly around new people or dogs, and can quickly shift into rough, over-the-top play behavior that can overwhelm other dogs. While he responds appropriately to corrections initially, he sometimes struggles to regulate himself once excited and may continue to push boundaries despite another dog signaling they’ve had enough. Because of this, Memphis is not a fit for every household or every dog companion. He has done well with larger, playful dogs who enjoy roughhousing, but he is too much for many older, smaller, or more laid-back dogs. Successful introductions and management are extremely important for him. Memphis has made tremendous progress over the past several months in foster care and does very well within a structured routine. However, his excitement levels can still escalate unpredictably in stimulating situations, especially during greetings or social interactions. When overstimulated, he may jump, mouth, vocalize, and become difficult to redirect in the moment. Interestingly, once removed from the situation and given time to decompress, he settles almost immediately. What Memphis truly needs is not simply “more exercise” — he already receives plenty of physical activity. He needs continued structure, clear boundaries, mental engagement, and purposeful outlets for his drive and intensity. He would likely excel in activities such as agility, scent work, structured training, hiking, or other dog sports with someone experienced and committed to channeling his energy appropriately. His ideal home would be:• An active, experienced dog home• A home with consistent structure and routine• Confident, playful dog who enjoys rough play• Without small, elderly, or easily overwhelmed pets• With adopters who understand arousal management and are willing to continue training Memphis is an incredible dog in the right environment. He is affectionate, social, eager to engage, and deeply rewarding to work with. He simply needs a home that sees his intensity for what it is — a dog who feels everything in a very big way and needs help learning how to regulate it successfully. For the right person, Memphis has the potential to be an extraordinary companion. ##2108174##
