Story
Bandera is a 2-year-old male dog with a very lovable personality and a wiggly, happy nature that makes him hard not to adore. He takes treats gently and enjoys interacting with people, though he does have a tendency to jump up in his excitement. He will likely need a refresher on potty training and crate training as he adjusts to a new home, but with consistency and patience, he should do well. So far, he has not shown any signs of dog aggression, and his sweet, friendly demeanor makes him a great companion for a home ready to help him continue learning and thriving. He has received his DHPP vaccine and Bordetella. He is pending heartworm testing, a microchip, and neuter.

Story
Meet Pasta! 🍝🐾 Pasta is a 5 year old Hound/Lab mix with zest for life and energy to spare. She loves adventures, long walks, car rides, and—after she’s had her fun—crashing on the couch like a pro. Treats are her love language, and she’s always ready to work for a snack. She’s housebroken, crate trained, and has done well with dogs, kids, strangers, and even livestock. That said, Pasta prefers calm handling (no loud voices), pulls hard on leash, and can clear fences under 5 feet—so secure containment and a confident handler are a must. She tends to do best with male or smaller dogs, needs slow introductions, and should be fed separately due to possible food guarding. Her cat history is mixed, so a cat-free home may be the best fit depending on experience. Spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Pasta was heartworm positive in 2025, but tested negative in June of 2026. Returned when her last match wasn’t quite right, she’s ready for a committed home that can give her structure, patience, and plenty to do. Looking for a loyal, active sidekick with a big personality? Pasta’s ready to twirl her way into your life. 💛🐶

Lily

Australian Shepherd Labrador Retriever

Stephenville, TX
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Lily was surrendered through no fault of her own and has proven just how resilient she is. After a few days of adjusting to the busy shelter environment, she truly blossomed into a happy, affectionate girl who eagerly soaks up attention from anyone willing to give it. She previously lived with other dogs and children and is said to do well with both. She is also friendly with strangers and enjoys meeting new people. However, Lily does not like cats, so a cat-free home is a must for her. She loves toys—especially balls—and enjoys playtime just as much as cuddle time. Lily is housebroken, crate trained, rides calmly in the car, and walks nicely on a leash, making her a wonderful companion for both adventures and cozy evenings at home. Lily absolutely loves to cuddle and go for walks, and she’s happiest when she’s getting affection from her people. She also seems to think she’s much smaller than she really is and will happily sit or lay on you if you’re sitting down, soaking up all the cuddles she can get. Lily can get a little lonely when left by herself and may howl, so she would do best in a home where she isn’t left alone for long periods. She thrives on companionship and will reward you with loyalty and love. She is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

She has now been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. She is a shiny black happy girl who is in need of a family of her own. She gets along well with other dogs and is crate trained. She has "PUPPY" energy and would love a home with an active family. She's young and eager to learn!

Story
JJ is a gentle boy who is easy to be around and will love you forever. He did grow up to be a big guy, but his gentle and easy nature more than makes up for his larger size. He is a good-hearted dog and deserves a loving family of his own. He is super friendly and eager to please. JJ is house trained, crate trained, up to day on vaccinations, heartworm meds, flea prevention and is neutered and microchipped. All he is lacking is his forever family! If you are looking for an easy going big guy to add to your family then you would love JJ! While we expect our dogs to be part of the family, therefore, live in the house, we require adopters to have a safe fenced-in backyard. We do home visits before adoptions are finalized.

🌟 Meet Deuce — The Big Goofy Sweetheart With a Double High‑Five If you’re looking for a dog who can brighten even the dullest day, Deuce is your guy. He’s a big, happy, lovable goof with a heart that’s somehow even bigger than he is. Everything about him radiates joy — the wiggly walk, the wide smile, the excited tail, and of course, his signature move: the double high‑five. Deuce is the definition of fun, loving, and sweet‑natured. He adores people, loves playtime, and is always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. Whether he’s trotting around with that goofy grin, leaning in for affection, or proudly showing off his tricks, he brings warmth and laughter everywhere he goes. He’s also smart and incredibly trainable. Deuce wants to please, picks up new things quickly, and thrives when someone gives him structure and encouragement. Underneath all that silliness is a dog who genuinely wants to be your partner. ✨ Deuce Would Love a Home With: Someone who enjoys a big, goofy, affectionate companion A family or person who appreciates a smart, trainable dog A home ready for a strong, enthusiastic boy with a soft heart Someone who will celebrate his tricks, his joy, and his larger‑than‑life personality If you want a dog who’s equal parts fun, loving, silly, and loyal, Deuce is ready to be your best friend — and he’ll happily high‑five you to seal the deal.
