Story
Hi there, I'm Rooney! I'm a silly and sweet pup staying at the Blue Mountain Humane Society! I'm currently in search for my furever home where I can have plenty of space to play and grow into the best companion ever! I came to the shelter as a stray so not much is known about my history but the BMHS staff says I'm the best pup around. I am still young and full of energy so I will need plenty of patience and training to ensure I reach my full potential! I recently had a minor eye surgery that I'm healing from, if you want more information on the procedure, feel free to contact the shelter! If I sound like your new best friend, feel free to fill out an application through the Blue Mountain Humane Society website and come by to visit! If you have other dogs at home I highly suggest bringing them along for a formal meet to make sure we get along. I'm soooo excited to meet you!

Story
Hi there my name is Raven! I am currently hanging out at the Blue Mountain Humane Society waiting for my forever home. I am a very sweet girl and am very loyal to my human companions. It can take a little bit of time for me to warm up to new people, but my favorite thing is playing fetch with a tennis ball! So after some time playing ball and getting to know you, I become quite the velcro dog! I would do best in a home where I can be with someone as introverted as me, as I get anxious with lots of new people and visitors. I get along well with other dogs here at the shelter, and the staff says I do stellar in playgroup! I love a good butt scratch and rolling in the grass. If you think I could be a good fit for you fill out an application and go ahead and come on down to the BMHS to meet me. Can't wait to see you:)

Story
Hi, I'm Squash, a puppy in an XL body! I'm not quite a year old yet, but I'm working diligently on becoming a good citizen. I know sit, down, and wait, and I'm trying my best to break the habits of jumping up on people. My foster dad says I'm a little strong on the leash, but I am improving every day. I am friendly to all dogs, but I'm still a little too excited to be left alone with kitties. I potty outside reliably, and I only chew on my toys. I'd love to meet you, but please be prepared for my size: I weigh over 100 lbs and only fit in a 48" kennel.

Story
My name is Cole, the tug of war king! I am one of the most active boys you will meet here at the shelter, but my favorite game of all is tug of war with a leash! No normal rope or toy will do, a leash is the best tool for this game. Now, I have been told that I "shouldn't" play tug with the leash, and I am working on not doing it, but I swear I just want to play! If someone is willing to be on my team and give me a chance to learn the right ways to play it without a leash then I think I could be the perfect dog for you!

Story
Hey! Want to see how fast I can spin in the water? No? How about how quickly I can catch this ball you throw? Oh! I know! Let's go on a super long hike! While we do I can tell you a bit about myself. My name is Conway and I just love everyone! Dogs, cats, people! Anyone! As long as we can play together I love them! Of course I like other things besides being active, I do enjoy cuddling up for pets. But my biggest love of all is water! If you want to go splash around in the river I will be there with you in a heartbeat! So what are you waiting for?! Let's go splash!

Story
Aubrey loves playing fetch with tennis balls. She can run very fast and will run all day until you tell her it’s time to stop! She is house trained and great with kids and cats. She can take some time to warm up to other dogs, but is generally good after a slow introduction with dogs, too (she has been around other dogs her whole life, just introductions should be slow). She would do best in a home with people who can play with her and walk her daily or at least most days. She would also do best in a family with a fenced yard or room to run.
