Story
WOOF! I'M HANK! I'm a 2-1/2-year-old Labrador Retriever-Pit mix in need of a foster or forever home. I'm a smart, mellow, loyal and loving dog who has been overlooked for far too long! I can be a bit shy when I first meet you, and when I go to my new home, will need some time to adjust with a patient person or people. Unexpected noises etc. scare me a bit, so I would do best in a quiet environment where I can feel secure, with a single person, a couple or a family with older kids. I'm also independent and not super needy, and I love to go for walks. I am strong so could use a strong owner. I do get along with other dogs (see video with my brother Holt, who also needs a home), but would probably do best as an only dog or with a submissive dog, possibly a female. I weigh about 60 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? I'm currently in California, but can be transported to you in Washington. Please email for an application.

Story
Welcome Bob to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 7.5-year-old Mastiff/Lab mixed dog. He is about 50 pounds and he is very sweet. He is now ready for his forever home. He is an adorable bubble blower, and he had the most adorable drool on the video. If you love the Mastiff breed, then you know they drool. It is a part of their charm. He will be a loyal boy and he is lower on the energy scale. He was extremely happy to be walking her at the rescue. We have been spending lots of time getting all the adult dogs good on leash. He has a lower coat and not a huge shedding dog. He would be great for an older couple looking for a large and lower energy companion. He would also be good for a family where the man works out of town, and he wants to know his kids and wife feel safe with a dog watching the scene. He is healthy and getting vaccines. He is neutered and ready for his forever home. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally. We work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Story
Welcome Kota to CCPAL Rescue. Kota is a 6-month-old and weighs about 30 pounds. He is a Lab/German Shepherd. He should be about 50 or 60 pounds full grown. He should be a large dog full grown. He is cuddly, social and likes attention and being held. These were in foster care until they were vaccinated and ready to come to the rescue. They have had lots of attention from humans which is wonderful. It creates a wonderful puppy that loves humans and their attention. These puppies are smart, soft coats and most have the lab personality with the smartness of the Malinois. They would be great family pets. They can go with children and should be good with them. We like the children to be 8 or older. Puppies are best with people that are home some and not gone 8 hours every day to work. Kota will need to finish up his puppy training, and it would be best if he gets to spend time with his human so he can bond deeply with them. Kota is playing in his play group of 6 puppies. The boys are all bigger than the girls. He also gets to play outside in his play group and does well in a group. These puppies have webbed feet and should be good swimmers. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
OH MY GOODNESS! Y'all there is nothing we love more than a squishy, compact-sized, forever puppy face short king and Bourbon Baby is exactly that! He has the type of face that makes you almost get that uncontrollable urge to squeeze their squishy little face, as if their cuteness is too much for your heart to handle. Like your love for them is just bursting out in an adorable, squishy explosion! That's what it's like when you meet Bourbon Baby. You know it's ridiculous, but you just can't help but want to smoosh them because he's that adorable. We haven't even gotten to all of the best parts though! He is living proof that good things come in small, squishy packages. Watch his video and fall in love with this cute little guy: https://youtu.be/JXMKgTtTYqw?si=GFj89zT-G2gN6YLu Bourbon Baby is believed to be a Pittie/lab mix approximately 1 years old and currently weighs 46 lbs. Don't let that number fool you though, he is a short king with little legs and barely comes up to your knee! He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Bourbon is very dog friendly and has done great with every dog we have introduced him to. This little fella brings the party vibes to all the playgroups and has the absolute best time of his life. When he plays, he's the type that will play chase, zoom around as fast as he can, and bounce around like a bunny rabbit. Watching him play, you can't help but have a smile on your face because of how much fun he is having. Especially when he is playing chase! Y'all, watching him zoom around, running as fast as he can, seeing those little legs of his trying to keep up is such a joy to watch. You can't help but smile. Surely in his mind, he believes he's zooming in full turbo speed but in reality, he's not going that fast LOL but he tries. Bourbon knows when to take play breaks and also appreciates those relaxing moments as well, so no need to worry about your house turning into a 24/7 daycare. This guy definitely has an appreciation for nap time and tuckers out quickly. In a home, he would do best with a doggy friend that is goofy and silly just like himself, one that doesn't take things too seriously, enjoys a game of chase, likes to wrestle, and also appreciates those calmer moments. If you don't have other dogs, that's fine too! He does not need the company of another dog to keep him company or to satisfy his energy needs. Once he's past that initial shyness, he is a total love bug and has no problem matching whatever energy you need from him. Bourbon would also do best in a kitty-free home. He would thrive in a home with a backyard where he can practice his mini zooms, sunbathe during those beautiful summer days, and explore all the smells. He also has the potential to thrive in an apartment/condo setting as well with the proper exercise and socialization. He doesn’t need much, just a long walk to the park or even some in-home mental stimulation puzzles. We see him being a great work-from-home buddy, lazy Sunday movie marathon date, and an easygoing companion to take with you on a leisurely walk around the neighborhood. He's a simple man that doesn't require much to make him happy. He’s the best of both worlds We are willing to test Bourbon Baby with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
