Story
Some dogs enjoy people… and then there’s Gidget Bee, who absolutely lives for them. Give her a moment in the beginning to get to know you and then, she’s all wags, smiles, and “hi hello yes please love me.” Once she knows you, she’s the kind of dog who treats her people like a long-lost best friend and makes you feel instantly special just by being around her. Gidget has that joyful, goofy personality that naturally makes people laugh, lean down to pet her, and stay a little longer just to soak up her sweet energy. One of our very favorite things about Gidget is her adorable little signature move — she gives you her paw when she wants affection. Not just once either… she’ll gently tap you with it like a polite little reminder that it’s time for pets. It’s equal parts charming and hilarious, and it never fails to make people smile. Between her happy personality, her love for people, and her adorable “paw please” requests for attention, Gidget has a way of turning everyday moments into something a little sweeter and a lot more fun. Watch her video and feel her love radiate from the screen: https://youtu.be/qlsSu-AYYeQ?si=05NyhHdIXkfATyhm Gidget Bee is believed to be a Pittie/lab mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 60 lbs. Don't let her pictures fool you, she's on the smaller side of 60 lbs, and the perfect petite size. Not too big, not too small, she’s just the right size. Gidget is a rescue dog and, with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. It’s a given this bundle of joy is absolutely adorable and such a happy gal, but she is so much more than that. Connections with her run deep and she has such a way of making you feel so special and loved. Gidget is dog friendly and has done great with all the dogs we have introduced her to. She is friendly and respectful, happy to say hello with a quick sniff, and then do her own thing. She's not really a rough-and-tumble play kind of gal, but she’s totally comfortable hanging around other dogs. Every now and then she will give an appropriate correction almost like she's saying "alright now kids, that's enough go bother someone else" LOL like a mother would to her own children. She is simply just happy to hangout and watch the other dogs play. Her ideal furry companion would be a gentle, easygoing dog who enjoys a good sunbathe more than a wrestling match. But she's also totally fine being your one and only as well. Gidget also met our house cat, Biggie, and handled the introduction beautifully. She was respectful and appropriate, did not chase Biggie, and wasn’t bothered by his typical cat behavior. Biggie also felt comfortable around her. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home with a cat before, as this was our first time seeing her with one. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange a kitty sleepover upon request, just let us know! When it comes to training, Gidget loves treats and will do anything for a tasty snack! She already knows how to sit and does so on command, walks well on a leash, and is crate and potty trained too. Gidget also knows how to shake! Her shake is somewhat her trademark too because she’ll voluntarily give you her paw whenever she wants affection. She would be a great dog to take with you on walks at the park, will be your backyard patio hangout girly, and your snuggly princess at the end of the day. Her ideal home would have a backyard where she can zoom around, play with her toys, and sunbathe during those beautiful days. She also has the potential to thrive in an apartment or condo. She loves people and is a true social butterfly, so if you’re someone who enjoys hosting or having friends over for backyard BBQs, Gidget will happily be right in the middle of all the fun. We’re pretty sure she’ll become one of the main talking points in every conversation, too. Gidget is currently being fostered in a home with a 14 year old and has done great with her foster’s kids. We have not seen her with kids younger than 14 just yet and we can certainly see how she does with younger kids. Based on what we already know about her though, we believe she would make a great companion for a family with kids. We are willing to test Gidget Bee with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
