Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Gideon is a senior fellow. He walks nicely on leash; ambling along, sniffing, and exploring. He is an overall happy guy. He can be a little aloof until he gets to know you. He can be a bit cautious with new people, but take him outside and he’s your friend. He’s a good size guy and pretty calm.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 5, 2023, 9:05 am

Story
To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application here: http://littlebigdog.org/available-dogs/ Please note that Preish and Savannah must be adopted together. We are not sure if Preish and Savannah are sisters, mom and daughter, or just friends, but they are bonded and need a family who will love them both. Sweet and loving, these two will win your heart in a hot minute! They are young and active for their age, and seek out attention.  Preish wants to meet everyone, but Savannah (Savvy) shows a nervous (maybe slightly protective) side with some new people. Preish and Savvy need a fully-fenced yard where they can romp, play, and chase little critters (squirrels). NO invisible fencing. Savvy needs a partner, whether canine or human, to RUN, play, and burn off some excess energy. She might make a good running/jogging partner for you.  Personality wise, these girls are a dream. They love to be loved! They love to play! They are also happy to just hang out and do nothing.Adoption fees are $200 unless otherwise stated.  Senior residents of Dot's Old Dogs Home are generally not available for adoption.  100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected chained/penned dog or yard-sale dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest. Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; grooming (if applicable); heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter. Please contact us if you have questions about our adoptable dogs, we would love to talk to you!  November 25, 2023, 12:09 am

Story
Contact Mountaineers For Mutts Sponsoring saves lives! When you donate, we will apply that money toward sponsoring a shelter dog for rescue. black senior lab Bailey - 8 yrs neutered male black lab, 67 lbs. Fine with other dogs and people.  Haven't tried him with cats. We have videos below of Bailey in all sorts of situations....   This all started on April 2nd when I got a call from a crippled man who couldn't care for his dog...dog was in bad shape...could we take the dog. "Bad shape" was an understatement and the volunteer who went to profile Bailey took him right then.  Bailey could barely walk, w/open oozing wounds on his body, matted skin folds, 1-2 inch tumor on his foot...  The guy had been injecting Bailey w/insulin but had no idea about the dosage since he'd not been to a vet in over 3 yrs.     M4M found a vet to take on his overall infections and skin issues - many medicated baths and thyroid meds later and he's ready to remove the foot tumor. Due to its location and his new-found happy activity level, the goal was to remove it before it ruptured & get as much of it as they could.      Today the vet estimates Bailey to be no younger than 6 yrs -- so I'll say 8 yrs. You know how illness and neglect can affect them.   67 pounds.   And we're so proud of his beautiful coat now!!  Look at the mud on his leg - that's from him happily wallowing in the garden!  Happy dirt!! YAY Bailey!!  I've attached more new photos of his beautiful labby head.   The first 2 pics here are him today, doing great. The other 3 pics are him when we first got him in horrible condition - balding w/the toe tumor.  We have lots more photos and videos - just ask.  Please fill out an application for Bailey on www.m4mutts.org  VOLUNTEERS:   We need transport drivers who can do legs between WV and New England on Saturdays. Driver Application:  http://form.jotform.us/form/50214993744156 More Info:  For All Paws Sake rescue/transport network   We also need short-term foster homes for dogs. Dog Foster Application   SPONSORS:   Mountaineers For Mutts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I'm Jax. I'm a bit shy, but once you get to know me, you'll see I'm as friendly as they come. I'm gentle, too. I don't like loud noises or fast movements. I prefer quiet moments, and I love toys! They're my favorite thing in the world. I can spend hours just playing with a squeaky toy or chasing a ball. I'm looking for a forever home with someone who can appreciate my gentle nature and love for toys. I promise to be a loyal and loving companion, always there to brighten up your day with my playful antics. Adopt me, and let's create beautiful memories together.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 5, 2023, 9:05 am
