Despite a rough start, Teddy's spirit remains undaunted, and he's eager to share his boundless affection with the right dog-savvy household. While he may experience moments of nervousness, Teddy is a happy and loving companion who thrives on interaction and playtime, especially with his beloved toys. Teddy is leash-trained and enjoys his walks, although he dreams of a home with a secure yard where he can freely explore. He has shown some reactivity to larger dogs while on leash, but can learn with patience and redirection. While Teddy was once familiar with other dogs in his younger days, he hasn't had much recent exposure, so a gradual introduction to potential furry siblings is preferred, or he could thrive as the sole pet in the household. In his previous home, Teddy mastered the art of potty training, and he's excited to continue learning and adapting to new routines in his forever home. With a bit of understanding and support, Teddy Brown is poised to blossom into the devoted and joyful companion he was always meant to be. Could you be the one to offer him the love and stability he deserves? Please bring all members of the household to the shelter to meet Teddy Brown including current canine companions. **DON'T FALL VICTIM TO FRAUD - Scammers have been responding to comments asking individuals to private message them for more information or post spam sites. Story
Tristan is a delightful older gentleman looking for a lap (or two) to call his own.  He has obviously had a loving home at some point as he is house trained, very gentle and gets along well with other dogs. He recently fell on hard times for unknown reasons and was picked up as a stray. His teeth were in terrible shape, and most had to be removed. But, he is first in line and meal times and a full member of the clean plate club!  Tristan likes to potter around in the yard and enjoy the sun. As soon as you sit down he will climb into your lap - his favorite place to be.  He is an all round good boy, and no trouble at all. As an older gentleman Tristen is hard of hearing but he is great at looking at you for cues so it is difficult to tell he does not hear well. Tristen does take medicine for a thyroid condition.  He takes 2 pills per day with his food. Tristan has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee of $350 helps offset the cost of medical expenses. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think Tristan could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: https://helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application .  *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up. April 25, 2024, 5:04 pm

DOB: 2/11/2022 Breed: Irish terrier mix Neutered Male ~ 50 lbs.~ Microchipped & fully vaccinated. Negative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative Adoption Fee $350A little bit about me...Hello, I'm Alfred, nice to meet you all. I am a big boy who has a lot to learn about the world and what my place is in it. I came from an under socialized situation, but since being at the shelter, I have come out of my shell and started learning the way of the dog. I have a few quirks I have developed in my life, one being my affinity of booping my peoples faces and generally being spatially rude, but with a little work you can help me correct these tokens of affection into more appropriate and less startling gestures. I may be a little much for young children since I have not had much experience with them, but I have showed signs of being an amazing family dog with the right training and guidance. The highlights... Very friendly with lots of different dogs A little weird, and a booping fiend I am very active and can benefit from lots of exercise. Will want to cuddle and roll around with youMy ideal home would include... A family that has time, patience, and a plan for training. I'm a bit behind the curve on basics. I am young and active, so I am looking for someone who has time to dedicate to exercising me as well as providing me with mental stimulation. I am a friendly guy looking for a home that understands my quirks and wants to help me learn new behaviors!

Story
~Neutered Male ~Microchipped & fully vaccinated. ~Negative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative ~Adoption Fee $300 A little bit about me... Greetings animal lovers, I'm Princeton, a big scruffy guy searching for a place to call home. I came to Sun Valley with a bunch of my "family" members after we were saved from a less than ideal situation. I have lived most of my life outdoors, and was not properly socialized with anyone, so I am a little quirky. I have no manners and live my life like a bull in a China shop, however I have come a long way since I came to the shelter, so I have the potential to catchup with my training. I can be a bit picky with my people, but once you're in, you're in. I love playing with other furry friends, but I still need a lot of work on my social cues and playstyle. I would like and need a home that has some training experience, as I would not be suitable for first time dog parents. Small children may not be in the cards right now, but maybe in the future I'll have my act together. So come sign up for the project that is Princeton! The highlights... ~Plays very rough with other dogs. ~A little weird, and a booping fiend ~I am very active and can benefit from lots of exercise. ~Lots of energy and spunk My ideal home would include... ~A family that has time, patience, and a plan for training. I'm a bit behind the curve on basics. ~Experience with training, and/or under-socialized dogs! ~Less is more. I might be better with one or two people to start off, as I may get overwhelmed with a chaotic home.
