Story
Introducing Cody, affectionately known as "Little Guy," an adorable and playful puppy currently in foster care and eagerly awaiting his forever home. Cody has the cutest look, thanks to his delightful spots and beautiful coloring. His unique white streak down the center of his head makes him make him stand out. People always assume he got into the kitchen pantry and found the flour! While Cody enjoys the company of all his furry friends, it's clear that his best buddy is Tommy, the largest dog in the household. Cody doesn't seem to care if Tommy is huge & loves to engage in playful interactions with Tommy and is often seen trying to initiate games with him. Cody's favorite game is Tug of War with his pal Tommy. Although he's still working on his house training, Cody is making progress and is well on his way to becoming fully trained. Cody didn't seem to mind the crate at first, but his foster mom soon realized he didn't need it and leaves him out to play and interact with the other pups while she is away. Cody is a loving puppy, and even did well with kids he met. Cody seems to thrive in the company of dogs of all sizes. He hasn't been exposed to cats, since he is young, we think he could at least try to meet them and see how he does. Cody is an energetic little fellow, as he is still just a puppy. He enjoys playing with toys, especially those he can get someone to play Tug with him. When he's not playing, you'll often find him napping, right alongside the other dogs in the house. This smart pup is currently learning basic commands, with "sit" being his primary focus. With continued patience and consistent training, Cody is sure to pick up more tricks & continue to learn how to be the best addition to his new family. If you're looking to add a playful and loving puppy to your family, Cody could be the perfect addition. Don't miss the chance to give this adorable "Little Guy" a forever home filled with happiness and warmth. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We’re seeking a very special household to help NWATR save an abused pup we rescued three months ago. Brodie came to us with his brother Eli. They were both emaciated and had never been handled by loving hands or spoken to with kindness. They had only each other for their first 14 months of life. These brothers were a textbook case of littermate syndrome. The initial separation period that began the healing process was as difficult for Brodie and Eli as it was for us. Brodie is ready at last to move to a forever home to complete his rehabilitation. He is 17 months old now. He has learned to walk on lead, some basic manners, has been neutered and inoculated. He remains frightened of men but trusts women. He is still very thin but the vet says that will pass with continued good food. He has no health issues and, as a young dog, he has time to overcome his ill-treatment as a pup. Brodie is afraid of doorways. We’re working on it. He has no aggression issues and has learned valuable lessons from his foster pack. Brodie has improved so much. The only thing he needs now is a quiet, patient home, more training and love. As I write, he is sitting at my knee with his head on my lap. A sudden noise may yet startle him, but this lovely little man is worth the effort to turn his life around. If you have an interest in sweet Brodie, who is currently located in Tracy, CA, please contact Ann & Terry Langley at sochoice2@gmail.com.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 16, 2024, 1:49 pm
