Galilea’s Rescue Story Galilea’s life began with heartbreak. She was given as a “gift” to a family who did not understand kindness or responsibility toward animals. The children were never taught how to interact gently, and the adults allowed this mistreatment. Galilea lived in constant fear until she was ultimately discarded. Thankfully, a compassionate neighbor stepped in and reached out for help. One of our rescuers brought Galilea to safety and began her long journey toward healing. Just as she started to feel secure again, Galilea was attacked by another dog during a routine walk with a dog walker, suffering serious physical injuries and emotional trauma. Her recovery became even more complex—but she never gave up. With unwavering dedication, Galilea’s rescuer committed to her rehabilitation, working closely with a professional trainer and a specialized boarding facility. Through patience, structure, and unconditional love, Galilea slowly learned that the world could be safe again. Today, after two years of healing, Galilea is a gentle, trusting, and loving dog—ready to leave her painful past behind and begin her forever chapter. Crate trained: Yes (used primarily for air travel) When alone: Kiara currently lives in an open shelter setting and naturally seeks out her own quiet space when she wants to rest or decompress. When transitioning into a home, it’s recommended she not be left alone for more than 4–6 hours at first to help her feel safe and secure. Sleeping arrangements: She sleeps in a designated area alongside other dogs where she feels comfortable and at ease. While she is not currently in a home environment, she is expected to adjust quickly. Temperament Kiara truly stands out for her gentle, calm, and mature demeanor. She’s the kind of dog who quietly captures your heart the moment you meet her. Affectionate and easy to be around, Kiara bonds quickly and genuinely enjoys companionship and cuddles. At the same time, she has a lovely independent side and is perfectly content finding a sunny spot to relax on her own. This beautiful balance makes her an ideal family dog or a wonderful companion for someone seeking a loyal, loving presence. Ideal Home Kiara will thrive with a family or a dedicated individual who values gentle companionship and regular daily activities. She’s looking for a calm, loving environment where she can continue to feel safe, secure, and cherished while sharing her affection freely. Rescue Story Kiara was surrendered by her family to a local rescue partner known for caring for multiple dogs. When her family decided they no longer wanted her, Kiara’s future became uncertain. Without hesitation, her rescuer stepped in to protect her so she would never experience neglect. As if she understood she was finally safe, Kiara adjusted beautifully over more than a year to her new life as part of a pack. Though resources were sometimes limited, she always had stability, balance, and care. Now, it’s Kiara’s turn to move forward and find her forever home—a place where she will be chosen every day, deeply loved, and cherished for the rest of her life. Story
Meet Charlotte Charlotte is a sweet, easy-going 1-year-old girl with a gentle, joyful personality. Weighing just 8 kg (17.6 lbs), this Wire Fox Terrier mix is the perfect size for both cuddles and adventures. She truly loves people and enjoys the company of other dogs—whether that means playtime or simply sharing space peacefully. Charlotte walks well on leash, rides calmly in the car, and looks forward to her daily walks where she can explore the world at her own pace. She is smart, food-motivated, and eager to learn, making training fun and rewarding with positive reinforcement. She is potty trained in her foster environment and is expected to adjust quickly to new house rules. While she is not yet crate trained, she is adaptable and a fast learner. Charlotte currently shares her space with other dogs in foster care and sleeps comfortably on a dog bed in a designated area of the home. With her loving nature and balanced temperament, Charlotte would make a wonderful companion for a family or individual looking for an affectionate, loyal, and adaptable dog to share everyday life and adventures. Charlotte’s Ideal Home Charlotte would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can be treated as a true family member. Her ideal home includes: A family or individual who enjoys daily walks and quality time together Plenty of affection and human interaction—she loves being around people Friendly resident dogs (a bonus, but not required) Continued positive-reinforcement training, which she excels at A relaxed apartment or house environment where she can feel safe and secure Above all, Charlotte is looking for kindness, consistency, and warmth—a place where she can continue to blossom and share her sweet, easy-going nature every day. Charlotte’s Rescue Story Charlotte once had a home, but sadly she was never properly cared for. After enduring long-term neglect, she was eventually abandoned. A kind neighbor found her in poor condition, covered in fleas and clearly in need of help. Trying to do the right thing, the woman attempted to treat the fleas using a liquid she didn’t realize was toxic for dogs. Although well-intended, it caused severe skin irritation and inflammation, leaving Charlotte uncomfortable and in pain. When it became clear that she couldn’t provide the care Charlotte needed, she reached out for help. That’s when Charlotte came into our care. With proper veterinary treatment, time, and lots of love, Charlotte made a full recovery. Today, her skin has healed, her spirit is bright, and she is ready to leave her difficult past behind. Charlotte is healthy, happy, and prepared to start a new chapter with a family who will love and protect her forever. Adoption InfoCharlotte is currently waiting in Mexico and will travel once a family commits to a 10-day trial. Story
Meet Max Lee!🐾 Max is a one-year-old schnauzer/terrier mix weighing about 9 pounds, and he’s as sweet as they come! This little guy has never met a stranger — he’s friendly with everyone he meets and just wants to be your best friend. Max loves attention, cuddles, and playtime in equal measure. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playful fur sibling to romp around with. Max is also great with children and would make a wonderful addition to any family. Mealtime is his favorite part of the day (he’ll make sure you know when it’s dinner time!), and he’s mostly potty trained. He does well using pads if one is left out — though fair warning, he also thinks they make great toys if they’re not stuck down! Speaking of toys, Max is a little dog with a big love for play. His new family should be “toy rich,” because he can really put them to the test! When it’s time to wind down, Max sleeps beautifully in his kennel without making a peep — as long as he knows his people are close by. If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate, and playful pup who will fill your home with love and laughter, Max is your guy. 💛 Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 ( includes transport to your area)

Story
Welcome Oliver to CCPAL Rescue. Oliver is an 8-month old Jack Rat (Jack Russell/Rat Terrier). He is about 12 pounds and is a small dog with a scruffy and wire-haired coat. He is a lower shedding dog and would make a great walking companion. He is confident, social, outgoing, affectionate and adorable. He isn’t clingy but likes being held and is great with other dogs. He is in the puppy play group with girls, boys and dogs bigger and older than him. I would think his breed would love to chase squirrels out of the yard. He is good in his kennel and not overly vocal. He is getting his vaccines and will be neutered and ready for his forever home soon. He is adorable. He would be fine as a family dog with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is fine with baths and nail trims. He is learning leash manners. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Meet Mari! Mari is a female Cairn Terrier mix who can’t wait to find her new forever home. Weighing a petite18 lbs, Mari is gentle, sweet, and loving. She is approximately 5 years old. She is spayed, and up to date on her shots. Cairn Terriers are known for their charming, spirited, and bold personalities. Mari is both playful and affectionate. She is a good fit if you appreciate liveliness and snuggling.  She has plenty of energy and loves to play, making her a joy for families and active individuals.  Cairn Terriers are intelligent and can seem stubborn. She is smart and learns quickly. She can also be a bit independent-minded. Consistent training is key!  What makes Mari wonderful is her curious and adventurous attitude. Her inquisitive nature makes her a natural explorer. Mari is loyal and she likes to form strong bonds with her family.  She likes to stay close and always knows where home is. One of Mari’s favorite pastimes is a good snooze on cozy dog beds or comfy blankets.  She doesn’t mind sleeping with little disturbances in her own space. She can happily sleep in her own room and prefers her own bed.  Mari enjoys a good brushing, and it relaxes her instantly.   Despite Mari’s small size, she has a big, fearless attitude which is common in Cairn Terriers.   Mari is brave and confident. She often thinks of herself as much larger than she is. She’s good with other dogs in the dog park. However, she is known to dominate other dogs who look like her.  She also enjoys some time in front of the mirror and appreciates her reflection.  Because of Mari’s dominant nature, she is leash reactive.   She is fine with other dogs when her leash is not attached but will become more assertive if she is near another dog while on her leash.  Her leash reactivity needs work and she needs a competent handler who is motivated to help her learn. Mari loves tasty treats and will hold off on her scheduled meals in hopes of something worthy of her palate.  Mari does not have accidents inside. However, be watchful for the first five nights as she is sorting out her surroundings.   Mari is perfect for someone who enjoys an energetic, snuggly, and entertaining companion. Mari is not suitable for a home with smaller children. She likes her space at times and prefers a more calm setting. She is not suited for a home with cats or other small critters. Her adoption fee is $450   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Under AKR Custody Review (Adoption temporarily on hold pending resolution of foster situation) Currently in Vancouver!!! Name: Mongmong Age: 4 years old Sex: Neutered Male Breed: JRT (Jack Russell Terrier) Mix Color: Black, tan, and white Weight: 9.5 kg (20.9 lbs) Height (at shoulder): 32 cm (12.6 inches)   Mongmong is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves people — whether you’re a familiar friend or someone he’s just met, he’ll happily come over for pets and attention. He’s especially gentle with young children and is comfortable being picked up with arms under his belly. Once he warms up, he’ll even show you his belly! He’s curious about other dogs and will approach them to say hello, though he doesn’t typically engage in play. Gentle with cats, not much interest in them. Mongmong has a moderate energy level and enjoys outdoor activities like walks, but settles down calmly afterward. He’s well-behaved on leash, doesn’t pull, and follows his human companion nicely. He is not food aggressive and remains calm in a kennel or during car rides. Mongmong was found injured, likely from a car accident, and was at risk of euthanasia at a municipal shelter. After being rescued, Mongmong had one eye removed due to phthisis bulbi, a condition that caused his eye to shrink and lose function and had hernia surgery on 25.05.01-but he’s recovered beautifully and is now ready for a fresh start Mongmong is a brave little survivor with a heart full of love. He’s looking for a forever home where he can feel safe, cherished, and loved — could that be with you?
