He is very intelligent, very cuddly, very affectionate, and has a little bit of a stubborn streak! It takes Dax a while to warm up to people but when he is comfortable he shows his LOVE. He tends to get very attached to one human in a family, but is OK with all. He likes to explore outside in the yard, loves to play with toys, and chew on bones. He is literally attached to you if sitting on the couch. One of his favorite places to relax is a cat scoop (see picture)! He does great with other smaller dogs and cats. He hasn't been leash trained yet but it should not be an issue due to his intelligence. He is potty trained on a schedule. Dax needs another dog, preferably smaller, in the home to help him gain confidence and would do better in a quiet household with no children. He prefers women to men. If you love small, cuddly, long littles, he is the perfect companion for you. If you are a Dachshund lover, he is PERFECT. Anyone would be lucky to have Dax in their lives. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.
