Story
River is a year and 3 months old and a mix of Great Pyrenees, St. Bernard, Cane Corso, and German Shepherd. She weighs 105 pounds and has both the size and presence (that bark!) of a guardian breed, but also deeply affectionate and loyal. River is incredibly sweet and loving with her family, including our two children (both under 10). The daycare staff love her and she does does well in established play environments, and does well with mellow dogs, especially older dogs. She walks well on a leash and can be redirected when she becomes unsure or reactive. She is not reactive to all dogs or people, but she is very protective of her home and family. The reactivity manifests as big loud barks and lunges at new visitors to the house that we have not been able to manage. We believe she would thrive best with an adopter with experience with guardian breeds.

Story
**MY ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN SPONSORED BY A GENEROUS DONOR**Hi, my name is Bailey! From: Owner/ Guardian SurrenderDescription: I`m still a young, sweet pup who has a lot more to learn! I am a little nervous at times and need some encouragement in new environments as I continue to explore the world. I`m in my puppy fear period and will need continued socialization, gentle guidance and positive reinforcement. Once I get comfortable, you`ll see all the fluffy cuddles I have to offer! If you`re looking for bonding time and a good laugh, come meet me!Dog Compatibility: Ask about my previous history; I would do best with a calm and neutral similar sized male dog! Cat Compatibility: Ask about my previous history; I am not compatible with cats!Child Compatibility: Ask about my previous history; I can meet kids 13+! Housing Needs: None.
