Rescued from Okanogan County, this handsome boy is neutered, up to date on all of his vaccinations, and ready to find a loving forever home. With the loyal nature of a Great Pyrenees and the gentle spirit of a Saint Bernard, Kai is looking for a family who will appreciate his affectionate personality and give him the love, space, and companionship he deserves. He’s ready to leave shelter life behind and start his next chapter with people who will make him part of the family. Story
Minnie Lou is approximately one year old and is an incredibly loving, affectionate, and intelligent dog. Her DNA results show she is primarily Border Collie, with Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd mixed in. She loves being with her people and enjoys snuggling just as much as being active. She has attended doggy daycare at Biscuits in Tacoma, has lived successfully with our 9-year-old Golden Retriever and two adult cats, and has grown up in a home with four children. She is fully housebroken, crate trained, and sleeps comfortably in her crate at night. She loves meeting new people and other dogs. Like many young working breeds, she thrives with regular exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training. She can be enthusiastic when greeting people, enjoys chewing if she gets bored, and is vocal when something exciting is happening, but she does not have separation anxiety. I truly believe Minnie Lou's ideal home is one with room to run and explore, or with someone who can give her a job to do through hiking, running, agility, or farm life. She is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and happiest when both her mind and body are engaged.
