Story
Baylee is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish her as a family member. She is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want her transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities (listed below!). Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Baylee can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life. In the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Baylee is never without a safety net; she will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until her perfect home is found. Meet Baylee! Age: 5 Months Weight: 35 lbs (Current weight as of July 19 Estimated adult weight: 6095 lbs) Breed Mix: DNA Verified! 51% Great Pyrenees, 33% Labrador Retriever, 5% Komondor, 3% Great Dane, & 3% Anatolian Shepherd Why We Love Baylee If you have a soft spot for gentle giants in the making, Baylee will melt your heart! With a wonderful DNA blend of giant, devoted, and loyal breeds, this sweet girl is going to mature into a stunning and devoted companion. Baylee is a very timid, shy soul who takes a little extra time to trust new surroundings. She isn't a bold, pushy puppy—she is a quiet, gentle girl who just needs a calm, patient, and loving home willing to go at her pace. Watching a shy dog bloom into a confident, loving companion is one of the most rewarding experiences in the world, and Baylee has so much love to give once she feels safe. One thing that helps her feel right at home is other pups! She absolutely adores other dogs, and having a confident canine brother or sister to show her the ropes would do wonders for helping her step out of her shell. She is young enough that she could be taught how to interact with cats and children. Since she's timid, if there are children in the home, we suggest older kids, maybe 5+. Home Manners & Training Baylee is already crate trained and appreciates having her secure, comfortable space to unwind. As she is still learning the puppy basics, she will need a family ready to guide her through house training and gently introduce her to leash walking. Her mix of noble guardian and working breeds means she is naturally intuitive, loyal, and smart. With steady routines, positive encouragement, and lots of reassurance, Baylee will learn that the world isn't so scary after all. Are you Baylee's perfect match? If you have a quiet, patient heart and room in your home for a big, soft-hearted pup who will reward your devotion tenfold, Baylee is waiting for you! Video of Baylee on July 7: https://youtube.com/shorts/Ovaw5Q8fHDA?is=DkfMxRl3G3-_YXSH Her adoption includes: Fully Vetted: Baylee is already spayed and up-to-date on all her essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPPx3, and Bordetella). Prevention: She has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Safety First: To ensure she is in tip-top shape for her new family, she will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate. All performed within 10 days of her transport date. Adoption Details Baylee's adoption fee is $1,200. We stand by our pups for life, in the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Scout is never without a safety net; he will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until his perfect home is found. About Scout Scout is a typical 6-month-old puppy (August 5) who is ready to find his perfect forever family! Believed to be a wonderful mix of Great Pyrenees and Australian Shepherd, he is currently a handsome 20-pound package of pure puppy joy. Personality: A typical, happy pup who absolutely loves people. Because he is so young, it can be safely assumed that he will do great with children. Other Animals: Scout is fantastic with other dogs! He tends to be the "rough and tumble" one of the group, but he always plays well with others and is great at socializing. Can be tested with cats upon request. Training & House Skills: He is already doing okay in his crate. While he hasn't had any official training on a leash or with housebreaking just yet, he is a smart boy who should learn the ropes quickly with a consistent routine. He'll just need a patient family ready to guide him through his puppy milestones! Story
LOCATION: Main Shelter KennelMeet Boeing! With ears as big as plane wings, she`s sure not to miss a single thing. She`s a cutie patootie who can be a bit shy at first but will start to warm up with treats (especially her favorite, cheese)! Very sweet and loving, she has a huge heart with so much love to give. Her foster parent reports Boeing is super good on leash, and enjoys going on walks and hikes, going to the beach and laying in the sand. She loves car rides. Boeing is good at settling wherever she is. When she gets the zoomies, she gets super hoppy like a bunny and will tuck her tail under her and run back and forth — it’s SO cute.Indoors, Boeing only chews on her own toys, is house trained and able hold it for up to 8 hours if needed. The couch is her favorite spot for naps. She likes fetch, but sometimes forgets to bring the ball back! Every night when her foster parent gets into bed, she jumps up with her, lays on her, and asks for about 5 minutes of attention (pets, cuddles, ear scratches,) and then she’ll go to the end of the bed and settle down and fall right to sleep. The ideal home for this sweet pup would be a multi-person family where someone is home most of the time, because Boeing really bonds hard with her person and she’d love it if that person was with her most of the time. Lovely Boeing can`t wait to meet you!The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate you`re understanding and patience. **HOW TO ADOPT: Check the animal’s location. From the Dog Kennels/Dog Isolation/Dog Quarantine (in shelter): To meet this dog, please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 – 5 pm on one of our open days, no appointment needed.
