[The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Dante spent most of his assessment showing little interest in participating, only occasionally engaging with me in mild play. He did not require redirection and had no issues walking on a leash, though he was hesitant to return to his kennel due to nearby barking dogs. He was unresponsive to verbal cues but handled everyday noises well. While he enjoyed meeting new people, he quickly lost interest.
