Story
**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT. YOU MUST LIVE IN BROWARD OR PALM BEACH COUNTIES** The 3 Puppies Story Begins With Mama: Meet Azmira Every great litter has a great mama, and Azmira is exactly that. She came to us as a rescued one-and-a-half-year-old Maltese Yorkie mix, arriving alongside her siblings, all of whom share the same beautiful hypoallergenic lineage with traits of Maltese, Yorkie, and Shih Tzu. Her siblings range from 10 to 18 pounds fully grown, which gives you a wonderful window into what these puppies may become. Azmira is gentle, loving, and devoted. She has poured everything she has into her puppies, and soon it will be her turn to find her own forever home. But first, her babies need theirs. About This Litter: At just five weeks old, Star Anise, Ziva, and Sprout are already showing the world exactly who they are. They are using the pee pad, discovering wet food alongside mama's milk, and navigating each new day with the wide-eyed wonder that only a puppy can pull off. They are healthy, thriving, and ready to begin the process of finding the people who will love them for a lifetime. These are not puppies for someone dipping a toe in. They are for the experienced dog lover, someone who understands that a young puppy is an investment of time, patience, consistency, and joy. Someone who has done this before and knows that every moment spent in those early months pays dividends for years to come. If that is you, read on. With their hypoallergenic heritage across Maltese, Yorkie, and Shih Tzu lines, these puppies are likely to be low to non-shedding companions with soft, beautiful coats that will only become more stunning with care and grooming. Each one carries a distinct personality already beginning to show.  What Adoption Requires Our Promise to These Puppies We are committed to making sure every puppy in this litter grows up healthy, protected, and loved. That means we partner with our adopters through the first months of life, and we ask for a genuine commitment in return. Here is what the journey looks like. MAY: Last Week of May 2025. First vaccines administered. Puppies become available for adoption. JUNE: Week of June 14th, 2025. Second round of vaccines at our vet in Broward County. Adopter brings puppy in. JULY: Week of July 12th, 2025. Third round of vaccines at our vet in Broward County. Adopter brings puppy in. SEP: September or October 2025. Spay or neuter at our vet in Broward County at 6 months of age. Required as part of the adoption agreement. Location requirement: Adopters must reside in Palm Beach or Broward County to ensure they are able to bring their puppy to our vet in Broward County for scheduled vaccine appointments and the spay or neuter procedure. This is a firm part of our adoption commitment and helps us ensure every puppy receives complete, consistent care. Ziva: Female 2.1 oz. The tiniest of the three, Ziva, has a short coat with wispy, delicate fur that gives her an almost ethereal look. Do not let her size fool you. She is attentive, curious, and already watching everything with steady, bright eyes. Ziva is for the person who falls for the underdog, who sees a petite soul and recognizes that the biggest hearts often come in the smallest packages. She will grow into exactly the companion you did not know you were waiting for. This dog's adoption fee is $800 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). If you are interested, please fill out the adoption application. For additional information regarding our adoption process, please check our FAQ's Page.   *All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. Story
**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT. YOU MUST LIVE IN BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** Azmira Morkie is looking for her devoted home. She will be Available late May, once her puppies are weaned. The moment you walk toward her, Azmira rolls right over for a belly rub, and honestly, that is the whole story in one sweet gesture. She is a year-and-a-half-old Maltese Yorkie with eleven pounds of silky, hypoallergenic softness, a heart full of trust, and an endless appetite for the company of the people she loves. She is the kind of dog who reminds you why you fell in love with dogs in the first place. Azmira knows what she wants and is wonderfully clear about it. When it is time to go outside, she will give you a firm, polite bark to let you know, and she is perfectly happy to use a pee pad on a rainy day without any fuss. On a sunny afternoon, give her a yard and watch her go, running happy laps with her ears flying and her whole body full of joy. She comes back in ready to curl up right beside you, warm and content, very much a part of whatever you have going on. She is bright and curious, soaking up new words and sounds with wide, eager eyes. Azmira loves being included, loves being near her person, and loves the simple rhythm of a loving home. She will grow and learn beautifully alongside someone who enjoys that journey, with a small dog who pays close attention to everything. Azmira opens her whole heart right away, and she has so much of it to give. Azmira would be happiest with an experienced dog owner who genuinely loves spending time with their dog. She thrives on interaction, warmth, and the comfort of routine. If you are someone who wants a devoted little companion who is always happy to see you, always ready to snuggle in, and always curious about what comes next, she is ready to be exactly that for you.   A little note on timing: Azmira is currently a dedicated mama to her puppies and will be ready to begin her own next chapter toward the end of May, once her babies are fully weaned and thriving. She will arrive in her forever home healthy, loved, and so ready. You are warmly encouraged to reach out now so she knows someone wonderful is already waiting. She has already given everything she has to her puppies. Now it is her turn to be someone's whole world. This dog's adoption fee is $550 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed).
