Story
Meet Bella the Poodle mix! ShiPoo? Maybe! Maltipoo? Maybe! Bella is a party color “Poodley Dooddley” according to our unofficial opinion! She weighs about 8 pounds and is on the tiny side! She is full grown and is 3 years old. Stats: Bella has never had a single accident in her foster home. She doesn’t mind her crate, but prefers sleeping with her foster family. Bella is a timid girl at first, she’s hand shy, so she’d like a child free (no kids under 12 years) please. After she warms up, she will follow you everywhere and want to lay right next to you on the couch. Bella has not shown any interest in toys or playing with the other dogs in her foster family. She does love car rides and walking around the back yard with her foster mom. Leash walking is not her jam, she’s fine with a back yard romp in the fenced in yard. Bella is a pretty low energy gal. She gets super excited and can be vocal at mealtime and for a minute or two when foster mom goes to work and when she comes home - she has plenty of words to say! While a fenced in yard is not required, she does like to be outside if you go with her. She would be fine going out on leash. Because she’s a timid gal, we would not want her off leash outside of a secure fenced in yard. An electric fence would not be a good idea for her. She would do ok with kids over the age of 12. Other dogs are fine so long as they are not interested in playing with her. She ignores her foster family dogs. If you are looking for a dog social dog, Bella is not it! She likes her adult people and pretty much ignores everything else. We were told that she is good with cats, but since her foster home does not have cats, we cannot confirm that. Bella likes to wear sweaters and dresses so if you want a Princess, she might be ideal for you. She’d love someone who is lower key like her that will sit on the couch with her and hang out. She’s happy to be out and about if you carry her (she’s tiny and a Princess after all)! Bella is a good eater, and seems to prefer dry food over wet, but enjoys a little freshly cooked vegetables on the side. A treat is great, but she’s not much of a chewer. Therefore, your shoes and furniture are safe! She’s been easy breezy as a foster. Bella is a Poodle mix and will require professional grooming every 6 weeks or so and cost of grooming needs to be considered when adopting her. Her recent groom was $70. **We do require a home visit for Bella, so adopters will need to live in the Atlanta area.** If you are interested in adopting Bella, please fill out an application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY/Dog **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete.
