PLEASE COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION FIRST. WE DO NOT RESPOND TO ONLINE INQUIRIES - ONLY ADOPTION APPLICANTS. 1 year old Spayed Female Lhasa Apso Mix IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Georgia is shy and takes some time to warm up to new people, but once she becomes familiar with you, her true personality shines through. Georgia is extremely sweet and loving with those she knows and trusts. Georgia struggles with meeting strangers. She may exhibit signs of discomfort such as growling, barking, or attempting to hide. When unfamiliar visitors come over, she prefers to retreat to her crate for a sense of security. Due to this, Georgia would not be a good fit for a home with frequent visitors. Additionally, Georgia will not do well around small children. If she feels uncomfortable or threatened, she may resort to biting. As a young puppy, she still has plenty of energy and is not considered an ideal "lap dog." She can be mouthy and has a higher energy level. Georgia is already crate trained, and continuing crate training will greatly benefit her. A crate provides her with a safe space and contributes to her overall behavior and development. Although she generally gets along well with most dogs, Georgia's playful nature may not be suitable for a dog with lower energy. She may unintentionally annoy or overwhelm them. However, she would thrive in a home with a social dog who can match her energy level. At our rescue program, the well-being of our dogs is our top priority. We have the support of a wonderful trainer at Mirror Image K9, and we are committed to ensuring Georgia reaches her full potential. As part of the adoption process, potential adopters will be required to attend a training session. This session will provide valuable techniques and insights on how to help Georgia thrive and grow. If you are interested in adopting Georgia, complete the adoption application first. Thank you for considering giving Georgia a loving home. - Ozzie Albies Foundation

Story
I was a matted, sickly mess when I was rescued in FL, then I ended up in AL and have now made my way to Woodstock, GA with Act2Pups. My vetting and medical history so far; I’ve had 23 teeth extracted and when I was shaved down a lump was found on my back right leg but it’s gone now and nothing to worry about. My left eye is shrunk, but I see just fine. I am also up to date on my vaccines. I'm 12 years young, weigh 8 1/2 pounds and still have pep in my step. I get along fine with all the other senior dogs at rescue and I'd love to be in a home where I'm never locked in a crate again. I'm very loving and will shower my person with lots of affection and gratitude.

Story
Hi, my name is Leah, and I am a sweet and gentle senior dog looking for a loving home to spend my golden years. Even though I am a senior, I still have a lot of love, loyalty, and enthusiasm left in me. I am quiet and curious, and I love to explore and take in all the smells around me. I am a friendly dog who is always eager to greet my human friends with wags and kisses. I am fine with other dogs. I am a bit older and need a gentle touch, so I would be best suited for a quiet home without young children. If you are looking for a sweet and gentle companion to share your life with, please consider adopting me, Leah. I promise to give you lots of love and cuddles in return for a warm and cozy home.
