Story
Louie is my 9 year-old Bichon Frise. ( can live into their 20s) he is the definition of a companion dog—he wants to be in your lap, by your side, loved on constantly. He gives so much love and just wants someone to be his person. With a toddler at home and a newborn, Louie is in a situation that isn’t safe or fair for him—or for my kids. He is good with older children, but he is not okay with toddlers or babies who might pull at him, get in his face, or not understand boundaries. He has tried to bite my toddler due to her being in his face. He also has behavioral issues that require someone with time, patience, and has lots of love: * He tries to pee/poop and markin our house daily and wears diapers daily. We have struggled with this since getting a second dog (for 6 years now) * He barks at all outside movement and now wears a shock collar He needs someone who is home and wants a 24 hour companion, someone who will take him on walks everyday, and give him the attention he needs.

I should definitely be renamed Sir Snuggles, I think! Yes, I am a little bit of a scruff ball, but snuggling is my super power. But for now, Im Sir Scruffy, and Im a handsome, curious 12-pound super senior gentleman with the spunk of a dog half my age. Age is definitely just a number in my book - Im cheerful, playful and absolutely darling from nose to tail.<br/><br/>I found myself needing a new home when my previous owners health began to deteriorate. It was heartbreaking for me, but you have to keep a stiff upper lip and weather the storms in life I always say. I have shown off my true personality in my foster home, and they think Im the best boy. Im an old soul that loves everyone. I had some grade-school age kids come by one day, and that was nothing but a pleasure for me. My foster says I dont hear very well anymore, but heck, think about it. I dont have problems with storms or fireworks! Thats a way to look at life with a glass half full, right?<br/><br/>Im kennel trained and sleep in one at night - unless youd like for me to sleep with you - you know, keep you safe and warm? I dont bark except when Im first tucked into my kennel at night, but then I settle and drift off into dreamland. I walk beautifully on leash, and I adore playing, and I get so excited when I see you that I do the zoomies! I love toys so much (tug is a favorite game) that I like to carry one around in my mouth as often as possible. You never know when you are gonna need a toy at a moments notice, right? And oftentimes, I like to follow you around the house (in case you need help with something), and youll see that toy dangling from my teeth. Yes, its true, Im adorable. <br/><br/>After all is said and done, I think my Number One Love in this world is SNUGGLING! I could canoodle with you for hours on end. Id love a new family where someone is at home with me more so that we could have a lot of snuggling quality time together. <br/><br/>Ive given plenty of love in my life, and I want to continue doing so as long as Im here on this earth. I will adore you and love you to the moon and back. Could you do the same for me?<br/><br/>Love from Sir Scruffy
