Story
Meet Wilson 🤍 11-Year-Old Maltese/Poodle/Bichon Mix | Adult-Only Home Needed After 11 years with his family, a recent change in the home (a young child) means we now have to find him a new environment where he can feel safe, understood, and at ease. Wilson isn’t a perfect dog for everyone but in the right home, he will absolutely shine. ✨ Wilson’s Ideal Home • Adult-only (no children) • No other pets • Calm, predictable environment • Someone patient who understands dog body language and boundaries ✨ The Wilson You’ll Fall In Love With • A professional napper (couch + pillow pile preferred) • Loyal companion who loves being near his person • Walk enthusiast & neighborhood watcher • Crate trained and well-established in his routine • Sleeps in bed and fully believes that’s where he belongs • Takes his nightly Greenie very seriously • Loves carrots, peanut butter, and any “snack opportunity” Wilson is affectionate and enjoys snuggling — but on his terms. He bonds deeply with his person and thrives when he feels respected and understood. ✨ What to Know Wilson has clear boundaries and communicates them. He may growl or lunge if those boundaries aren’t respected, especially around: • Unwanted handling • Faces too close to his face • Multiple people interacting with him at once • Other animals or children His family has worked closely with their vet and explored training and medications. At the end of the day, they feel this is just who Wilson is… he just needs the right match to thrive. He needs a quiet home, a cozy routine, and a person who “gets it.” And for the right person, Wilson will be an incredibly loyal, comforting little companion 🤍 Wilson is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know him in your home before finalizing the adoption. Story
Meet Hope, a gentle little soul—an 11-year-old Lhasa Apso with a heart full of quiet sweetness. Hope was originally adopted by her owner a few years ago as a breeder release. She was deeply loved by her owner but unfortunately her owner passed away and now Hope awaits a new forever home. Due to her past as a dog used for breeding, she is a bit shy with people at first and needs time to feel safe, but her love for other dogs shines through right away. Hope is also friendly with cats, making her a perfect fit for a multi pet household. She is making progress with going potty outside, though the big wide world (and even grass!) can still feel a little scary. For now, she uses potty pads indoors and is doing well with them. One thing she is never shy about? Mealtime, she has a great appetite! And bath time? Surprisingly, she enjoyed every minute of being pampered. Being a senior sweetheart, Hope will be getting a dental procedure prior to adoption. Once she’s all healed up she will be ready to find her new forever companion. This lovely girl is looking for a patient, understanding home where she can continue to grow at her own pace. With kindness, consistency, and maybe a canine (or feline!) friend or two, she is sure to blossom into a devoted companion. If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Once approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it’s a great fit—and if it’s not, no worries! We’ll help you find the right match.
