Story
Zully Sunshine looks less like a dog and more like someone accidentally brought a stuffed animal to life. Seriously. Between the fluffy white coat, the tiny little face, and the way her ears bounce every time she hears something interesting, this girl is basically a real-life teddy bear. The cutest part? When she perks up at a sound and those fluffy ears pop up with her, it's like watching her transform from adorable little dog into full-blown plush toy right before your eyes LOL. She is sweet, cuddly, easygoing, and honestly the type of dog that makes people immediately ask, "Wait... is she real?" Watch her video and prepare to become obsessed with the tiniest teddy bear you've ever seen: https://youtu.be/ZaWsCxECw5k?si=d985saLeT9bRkdaa Zully is believed to be a Bichon Frise/Maltipoo mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs around 9 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. What we CAN guarantee though is that this little lady has mastered the art of being absolutely irresistible. Zully's foster describes her in one simple word: perfect. And honestly? We can kind of see why. This little girl is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves being close to her people. She has that wonderful combination of being cuddly without being demanding and affectionate without being clingy. She genuinely just enjoys being with the people she loves. Whether she's curled up next to you on the couch, following you around the house, or quietly hanging out nearby, Zully has this warm comforting presence that makes her incredibly easy to love. With other dogs, Zully has done well overall and currently lives in a foster home with six other dogs. The dog she spends the most time interacting with is a Chihuahua. Her foster has shared that the two of them love to play with each other and that Zully has a gentle play style. and while she'll occasionally engage with the other dogs, she seems much more interested in peacefully coexisting than constantly socializing. During introductions, she was typically happy to sniff another dog, gather her information, and then continue on with her day LOL. There was one larger dog that got a little too pushy and in her face and Zully appropriately let her know she needed some space. Honestly, we respect a girl with boundaries. We think Zully could absolutely thrive in a home with another respectful dog, but she would also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only princess. She is also fostered in a home with cats and met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. Zully has wonderful house manners and has not had any accidents in her foster home. She is crate trained and according to her foster, she is absolutely perfect in her kennel. She also walks nicely on leash, knows how to sit, enjoys treats, and likes playing with toys. She's one of those dogs that feels like she effortlessly fits into daily life. Energy-wise, Zully is medium-to-low energy and doesn't need a ton to be happy. A few walks, some playtime, cuddle sessions, and quality time with her people are pretty much her dream lifestyle. She hardly ever barks, which makes her a great candidate for apartment living, though she'd also do wonderfully in a house setting. Really, she seems like the type of dog that could happily adapt wherever her people are. At the end of the day, Zully is the kind of dog that reminds you why little dogs have such a devoted fan club. She's sweet, cuddly, easygoing, adorable beyond reason, and has enough teddy bear charm packed into her tiny body to completely take over your heart. If you've been searching for a tiny companion that will happily share your couch, your blankets, and probably your entire heart, Zully might just be your girl. We are willing to test Zully Sunshine with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Waffle is a small dog- about 17lbs- with a big personality and an even bigger need for the right forever home. While he may be adorable, Waffle is not the type of dog who will thrive in just any environment. He is looking for a patient, experienced, dog-savvy adopter committed to helping him continue building confidence and trust. https://youtu.be/aaybwp6jqjI Waffle is estimated to be about 2 years old. Our best guess is that he may be a Maltipoo mix, though as always with rescue, breed and birthday are simply our best guess. Waffle was left behind with two other dogs after his owner was deported, and that experience understandably left him insecure and unsure of the world around him. Because of this, Waffle takes time to warm up to new people and environments. He is not the kind of dog who will immediately shower strangers with affection, but with patience, structure, and consistency, he is capable of forming very strong bonds with his people. Waffle absolutely needs another younger dog in his forever home — ideally a confident dog around his age and similar size who can handle his rough-and-tumble play style, occasional reactivity, and active personality. He relies heavily on other dogs for confidence and comfort, and another dog is essential to helping him feel secure and continue making progress. His ideal home will have: • A securely fenced physical yard (no apartments, condos, or invisible fences) • Another young, confident dog in the home • Experienced adopters familiar with nervous or reactive dogs • A structured environment with boundaries and routine • Patience and realistic expectations during decompression Waffle is vocal, especially when uncertain, so shared-wall living is not appropriate for him. He is also still working on leash skills and can bark at unfamiliar people and dogs on walks. Keeping his world small at first and allowing him to slowly build trust will be very important for his success. Despite his challenges, Waffle has so much potential in the right home. He enjoys playtime, exploring the yard, and being with his dog friends. He is also cat friendly! Watching him slowly learn to trust and feel safe is incredibly rewarding, and the right family will see a side of Waffle that most people never get the chance to experience. Because of his needs, Waffle is not a fit for first-time dog owners or households looking for an easygoing social butterfly. He needs a committed family willing to meet him where he is and help him continue growing into the dog he is meant to be. For serious adopters, we would also be happy to connect you not only with his foster, but with our behavior team to help ensure a successful transition into his forever home. Apply today to adopt Waffle! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6986372eb92150fb190513d9 Questions? Story
Meet Chino! Chino is a 4-year-old Maltese looking for a calm, patient home where he can be someone’s one and only. This little guy is learning what it means to be loved and cherished — and while he may be shy at first, once you earn his trust, he’ll give you his whole heart. Watch his video here and come back to read more about him! https://youtu.be/7dnuzhZ3kR4 Chino is still getting used to affection, so he needs someone who understands that trust takes time. He would thrive with a single person or older adult who has prior dog experience and can offer consistency, quiet, and love. Once he feels safe, he’ll be your faithful lap dog — content just being near you. He walks well on a leash, is treat-motivated (especially when cheese is involved!), and is working hard to be on his best behavior to earn your affection. Chino lives in a home with small dogs like him and BIG dogs too. He is a not playful with any of his foster dog brothers. He prefers to lay in bed with his person and lap up all the affection and love. When his foster dad comes home he runs up to his leg and paws for attention. If you have a soft heart, a patient spirit, and an open lap, Chino may just be the loyal companion you’ve been waiting for. Email Stephanie@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!   Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms.
