Story
Hello,Byrd is still available for adoption, and his adoption fee is $300. He is about 2 years old and weighs 22 lbs. He came to us because his owner could no longer care for him.Byrd is a very shy guy with new people, but once he feels comfortable, he’s incredibly sweet and affectionate. We haven’t been able to put him outside with other dogs yet — even calm dogs seem to scare him — so we believe he was likely never socialized with other animals. We don’t observe our animals in home settings, so we can’t guarantee whether he is housebroken.Upon intake, all animals receive:Spay/neuterMicrochipVaccinationsBlood and fecal testingFlea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness examAdopters must be 21+ and live within an hour of our facility. If you would like to meet with Byrd, just email and let us know!

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with this animal, please email us at info@animalhope.org or call 817‑984‑1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.Figgy is a 6‑year‑old Maltese mix who is ready for a home that will love him just the way he is. 💛🐾He came to us with a ruptured tendon in his ankle, an old injury that unfortunately isn’t repairable. Even so, Figgy handles it with impressive ease — he walks on it comfortably, gets around well, and doesn’t seem bothered by it. He’s adapted beautifully and continues to enjoy life with a sweet, steady spirit.Figgy is a very sweet dog who does well with other dogs and has a gentle, friendly presence. He’s the kind of pup who blends in easily, appreciates kindness, and brings a soft calmness to whatever room he’s in. 💕Because we don’t observe our animals in home settings, we aren’t able to guarantee whether he is housebroken.Upon intake, every animal receives:Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochipAll age‑appropriate vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)Flea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam 7–10 days after adoptionAdopters must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility. If you’d like to meet Figgy, we’d be happy to help.
