Story
Meet Chino! Chino is a 4-year-old Maltese looking for a calm, patient home where he can be someone’s one and only. This little guy is learning what it means to be loved and cherished — and while he may be shy at first, once you earn his trust, he’ll give you his whole heart. Watch his video here and come back to read more about him! https://youtu.be/7dnuzhZ3kR4 Chino is still getting used to affection, so he needs someone who understands that trust takes time. He would thrive with a single person or older adult who has prior dog experience and can offer consistency, quiet, and love. Once he feels safe, he’ll be your faithful lap dog — content just being near you. He walks well on a leash, is treat-motivated (especially when cheese is involved!), and is working hard to be on his best behavior to earn your affection. Chino lives in a home with small dogs like him and BIG dogs too. He is a not playful with any of his foster dog brothers. He prefers to lay in bed with his person and lap up all the affection and love. When his foster dad comes home he runs up to his leg and paws for attention. If you have a soft heart, a patient spirit, and an open lap, Chino may just be the loyal companion you’ve been waiting for. Email Stephanie@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!   Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
3/31/26: Meet Gordo, an adorable 6-month-old Havanese mix weighing about 10 pounds and ready for “big kid” puppy school! This high-energy little guy brings the zoomies daily and is as loving and attentive as he is cute. Gordo is crate trained and sleeps through the night in a covered wire crate, though he’d happily trade it for snuggles in bed with his humans. He’s 98% potty trained and uses a doggy door in his foster home, but like any pup, he’ll need a little guidance when adjusting to a new environment. When new people or dogs enter the home, Gordo may bark briefly, but he responds well to being redirected to his “place,” especially when a tasty treat is involved. He already knows how to sit and is eager to keep learning. Gordo enjoys leash walks and car rides, and he would thrive in a home committed to enrolling him in a puppy training class to help polish his manners and build confidence through socialization. A perfect Puppy Project! If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion who’s off to a great start, Gordo might be your perfect match 4/27/26 pupdate from foster fam: Gordo now walks ok on leash. He sits occasionally to check-in and get a treat. No longer zigzags while walking as he first did. Practicing 2x daily He IS potty trained. No accidents in house He rings bell to ask to be let outside. He knows place, complete with a settled “down” cue. He sleeps through the night in the Hooman bed Once properly introduced, he is eager to play with other small dogs. Haven’t met cats. This crazy boy enjoys hairdryers, follows robo vacuum like a toy, approaches lawnmower with eager curiosity Plays fetch like a pro Is 7 months old and needs puppy training!

Story
Meet Eddie (aka Eggnog!)  11 lbs | 9 years young | Neutered | Microchipped | House trained Eddie is a tiny gentleman with a BIG personality—and one ear that does whatever it wants (we love a trendsetter). This sweet and silly guy lives for walks, car rides, and treats… especially treats. While he’s proudly independent, he’ll occasionally choose your lap for snuggles and believes all large dog beds—and your couch—belong to him.  Eddie’s Ideal Home:• Quiet, calm environment• No other pets• No children or frequent young visitors• Someone patient who will let him settle in at his own pace Eddie has been through a lot, but he’s made incredible progress in foster care and learned how to trust again. He communicates through his behavior, so he’s looking for someone willing to listen, learn, and continue the structure that helps him feel safe.  Eddie does have a fear-based bite history, so he needs an experienced, committed adopter who will respect his boundaries and continue his training.  His Must-Haves:• Consistency and routine• Ongoing medical care + special diet• A safe space (crate)• A human who will love him for who he is—quirks and all Eddie isn’t a “perfect” dog—but he’s a special one. And for the right person, he’ll be an incredibly rewarding companion.  Ready to give Eddie the calm, loving home he deserves?Fill out a statement of interest on our website! ##2249906##
