Story
Located in North Bethesda, Maryland Meet Spock, a handsome Maine Coon mix who came to the rescue as an owner surrender. Spock is a sweet, affectionate boy who forms strong bonds with his people. He is very shy with new people and new environments and may spend his first few days hiding while he adjusts. He thrives on a consistent routine, and once he feels safe, he becomes a loyal companion who loves following his person around, soaking up pets, and sleeping in bed with them at night. Spock is a vocal, social cat with a BIG personality—and one adorable quirk is that he wags his tail like a dog! He loves attention and being near his people. Brushing isn't his favorite, but he'll happily tolerate it with a few treats. He also isn't a fan of being picked up or having his nails trimmed. This playful boy does best with larger, confident male cats who can match his rough-and-tumble play style. He got along very well with an older male cat and also did great with dogs. However, he can be too intense for smaller or timid cats, especially female littermates, as he may chase, corner, or taunt them during play. Because of this, we recommend a home with either no other cats or only confident, assertive male cats who can handle his energetic personality. Spock can sometimes get overexcited during playtime and may accidentally scratch, so he would do best with adopters who understand cat behavior and can help redirect rough play appropriately. If you're looking for a fluffy, talkative companion who just needs a little time to come out of his shell, Spock may be your perfect match! Note: There is a history of urination in undesirable places before surrender, and since he's been in rescue, he's urinated twice in undesirable places.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 16, 2026, 2:12 am

Story
Location: Perrysburg, OH Meet Beef – A Big Heart in a Fluffy Black-and-White Package â¤ï¸ Don't let the name fool you—Beef is much more lover than fighter. This handsome 5-year-old Maine Coon mix is a gorgeous black-and-white gentleman with striking green eyes and an even bigger personality. Beef is the definition of a Velcro cat. His favorite place in the world is curled up in your lap, soaking up attention from his favorite humans. Curious by nature, he'll happily follow you from room to room to see what you're doing and make sure he's included in all the daily activities. If you're looking for a constant companion, Beef is your guy. Like many cats, Beef has gone through some life changes that have shaken his confidence. After moving into a busier home with multiple cats, he became increasingly stressed and territorial. We believe Beef is simply asking for a quieter environment where he doesn't have to compete for space or worry about all the activity around him. Because of this, Beef is looking for a calm, adult home where he can be the center of attention or possibly live with one very easygoing feline companion after a slow, careful introduction. He would not do well in a busy, chaotic household. Beef is affectionate, outgoing, and incredibly devoted to his people. He can become overstimulated if pushed past his comfort level, so he'll do best with an experienced cat owner who understands feline body language and respects when he's had enough. He has had one bite incident after being startled by a loud noise, which appears to have been a fear response rather than aggression. Beef is:  5 years old  Neutered  Current on vaccinations  FeLV/FIV negative  Not declawed  A champion lap cat  Ready to find his forever person Underneath that luxurious Maine Coon mix coat is a sensitive soul who simply wants to feel safe, loved, and understood. Give Beef the peaceful home he's been searching for, and he'll reward you with endless companionship, warm cuddles, and unconditional love. If you believe every cat deserves a second chance to feel at home, Beef is waiting to meet you. Story
Phoebe was trapped out side along with her sister Fiona.  She is a very pretty dark brown tabby with huge eyes.  Phoebe has been with OMC since she was 7 months old.  She does not like to be touched.  Phoebe is great in the house and likes the other cats and the dogs.  Phoebe will get close to the action and humans but if its too close she will just get up and jog away to a safer location.  She is curious and joins in on the activities.   Phoebe would do best in a home with an experienced person who understands her limits.  She would love to be adopted with her sister Fiona.  While they have been together their entire lives, they are not super bonded.  It would be nice to have them adopted together    Located in Blairstown, NJ  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2026, 6:07 pm

Story
Location:  Mantua NJ 08051 Double the Love: Meet Taz & Stella – A Mother and Son Looking for Their Perfect Home Sometimes life changes in ways that even the most loving pets struggle to understand. Taz and Stella have been cherished members of their family for years, but after the arrival of a new baby, the busy household has become overwhelming for these sensitive souls. They are now searching for a peaceful home where they can relax, be loved, and truly be themselves once again. Taz is a 5-year-old Maine Coon mix with handsome tabby markings and beautiful golden eyes. This affectionate boy is happiest when he's the center of your world. He adores curling up in your lap for afternoon naps, enjoys being brushed, happily accepts treats, and will soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. Taz loves his people and simply wants a calm environment where he can feel safe. Stella is Taz's sweet mom, an estimated 9-year-old Maine Coon mix with a gorgeous black and caramel coat and striking yellow eyes. She's a gentle, quiet girl who may be shy at first, but once she trusts you, she'll become your loyal companion. Stella loves chin scratches, whisker rubs, being brushed, and making biscuits when she's content. While she prefers to lounge beside you rather than on your lap, she'll always want to be close to the people she loves. These two would absolutely love to stay together, and there is something incredibly special about watching a mother and son continue their lifelong bond. However, they can also be adopted separately if the right homes are found. Both Taz and Stella would do best in: A quiet, adult home No dogs No other cats (unless adopted together) Plenty of love, patience, and one-on-one attention Their family has noticed occasional litter box accidents since the household became much busier with a young child. Because this behavior began only after the major change in their environment, we believe they will flourish again once they're settled into a peaceful home where they feel secure and can receive the attention they've been missing. Both are spayed/neutered, negative for FeLV/FIV, and have a history of asthma that is currently well managed without medication. Their rabies vaccines are not current because their family observed worsening asthma following vaccination, though their other veterinary care has otherwise been maintained. Most importantly, they are not in danger of entering a shelter. Their loving family is committed to keeping them safe until the perfect forever home comes along. If you've been dreaming of a calm, affectionate companion—or perhaps a beautiful mother-and-son pair to share your heart and home—Taz and Stella may be exactly who you've been waiting for. ❤️ Help us give these wonderful cats the peaceful second chance they deserve. Please share their story—you never know who might be looking for a pair like them.
