Story
8 years old.  18lbs.   Obi has found himself at the shelter after he was surrendered by his owner.  His owner got a dog and the dog did not like Obi.  Obi went to live with family but the stress of the younger kids and other cats on the home was too much for him.  He is a little shy a first but like gentle pets.  He does like to play and is good for brushing.  Due to his size and coat we think he may be a Maine Coon mix.  He is best suited as an only pet or with a small cat friendly dog in a calm quiet home.  *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.May 16, 2024, 2:10 pm

Story
My name is BARTLESBY and I’m a HANDSOME 2 yr M Brown/Black Maine Coon/Norwegian Forest Cat. I’m 15 lbs of PURE SUPER MODEL. I’m being rehomed due to the hospitalization of my owner. I’m sad to be leaving her, but I’m looking forward to new life adventures with a new person/couple/family. I’m SHY when I first meet you, but once you give me time to warm up on my own, I’m very FRIENDLY, AFFECTIONATE and LOVING and will come ask you for lots of pets and purrs. I would love to go to a home where I’m the ONLY CAT to get ALL the attention but I have lived with other cats and dogs and because I’m so CHILL and have a SWEET GENTLE EASY GOING temperament, I get along with everyone. I haven’t lived with any young kids but I’m sure if they are gentle with me I will be fine with them. I would love to go to someone who KNOWS, UNDERSTANDS and IS EXPERIENCED with MY BREED as I have special needs such as DAILY BRUSHING and DIET NEEDS. If you’re looking for that SPECIAL GEM of a CAT in your life… that’s me! Pls send an email to: INFO@TAILSOFLOVERESCUE.ORG for an applicationMay 9, 2024, 6:04 am

Story
Beautiful Megan is a lovely, sweetheart who enjoys pets and affection and doesn't mind being held. This gorgeous, gentle soul is super mellow and ready for a warm, loving furrever home where she can be comfortable and adored. She loves to play, she enjoys being around other cats and she'd be very happy to have a kitty companion and playmate. Megan is a bit shy at first, but she's truly the perfect kitty to have cuddle with you while you watch TV. All this darling girl needs is love! Megan is a Maine Coon mix with gorgeous, long white hair and some cute spots of orange, making her a rare beauty in more ways than one. She would be happiest in a home with another kitty, preferably one who is easygoing like her! Megan is about 7 years old and fully vetted - she's spayed, up to date on all vaccines, snap tested fiv-/felv- and microchipped. She is currently on CD food. As a special breed, Megan's adoption fee is $250. **Please also note that, while her long fur makes for a beautiful look, it does require additional care: daily to weekly brushings, eye cleanings and (potentially) professional grooming.   If you would like to schedule a meet and greet with Megan, please go to our application here:  https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/. Make sure you click on Megan, then identify Claire as the rescuer and fill out the form! Thank you for thinking of a rescued angel! Every dime goes to saving the next sweetie on the street. Story
1 Say hi to pretty Hope! She's a gorgeous Maine Coon/tortie mix sweetheart who will win your heart with head butts and purrs, as this lady loves to be petted and cuddled. She loves people and can be playful, curious, silly and relaxed all in the same day. All she needs is a furrever home, where she'd be happy either on her own or with a mellow, older cat for company. Hope is a big acrobat who loves playing with her wand toy and climbing up her scratching post. She loves sleeping at the foot of her foster dad's bed and even tolerates being held. Hope has bursts of activity throughout the day but is a pretty easygoing, mellow cat otherwise. She has a reserved demeanor and likes her personal space, but she opens up when food is involved or when her foster dad is lying down. Hope is about 1.5 years old - she's spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, fiv/felv- and so ready for a wonderful furrever home as your only pet or with a mellow cat companion. As a special breed (Maine Coon mix), Hope's adoption fee is $250. If you would like to meet sweet Hope, please fill out our application here:  https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/ . Make sure you click on Hope, then identify CLAIRE as the RESCUER and fill out the form! Thank you for considering a rescued angel! Every dime goes to save another homeless kitty on the street. Story
Meet Juju, a gorgeous girl who's looking for her forever home with a patient human and one or more kitty friends! Juju is a fancy-looking lady who loves to lounge on the couch or in her cat cave and will watch you with her curious, beautiful, big green eyes. She LOVES to play and could play for hours. She truly never seems to tire of her string toy. Juju also loves other cats and needs to be adopted into a home with another friendly cat who can show her that humans are her friends. She's come a long way since being rescued last fall and now accepts pets--especially when they come with a treat--and will sit in your lap when you lure her with a churu. Juju also loves hanging out in her foster's bathtub...she's become a really fancy lady! Juju was rescued last fall along with her kittens and her kitty boyfriend. Her boyfriend succumbed to an injury incurred on the streets, so we knew we couldn't put her back out and instead found a patient foster, who showed her the ropes of the indoor life. Since then she's blossomed into a curious and playful kitty. She will do best with a patient adopter, who is  willing to give her time to adjust and just do things at her own pace. They should  also have a friendly resident cat, who can be Juju's friend.  Juju is about 3 years old. She's spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and negative for FIV/FeLV.  If you would like to meet Juju, please fill out our application here: https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/. Make sure you mention Juju as the cat and  Claire as the RESCUER and fill out the form! Thank you for considering a rescued angel! Every dime goes to save another homeless kitty on the street.
