Story
Are you a patient person that can give gorgeous Maine Coon mixed breed kitties a bit of time to acclimate? Maddy and Blue are wonderful, beautiful sweet sisters even though they both have grumpy-looking faces. They are very endearing and loving. They see lovey time with people once comfortable. They have so much love to share, they will need some time to warm up in a new, quieter environment. They both enjoy being brushed, being talked to, and of course getting rubbies. Maddy, 13.50# calico is the social butterfly, and Blue, 11.50# is more reserved, and quite bonded to Maddy. Blue waits until Maddy accepts you, then she blossoms. Maddy is diabetic, has limited vision and will need insulin daily. We are hoping with the correct diet that she may not need insulin forever. The foster Mom gives her the insulin while she is eating and Maddie doesn't even flinch. It's that painless. The girls came to the rescue due to their Mom passing away after a long illness. The girls like hooded beds to sleep in. They like exploring crinkle tunnels, checking out the windows, watching nature, the couch, and site seeing in the house. They are approximately 5.5 years old, spayed, vaccines are current, do not like dogs, no bad habits and micro-chipped, which is an added perk adopting from Snow Camp! Please request an adoption application, by clicking the request information button, or text the adoption coordinators, Bev @ 262-894-5975 or Carrie @ 801-550-9231. If you would like to see all the kitties, from adults to kittens available at Snow Camp, click this link, https://snowcamp.rescueme.org/. The rescue offers a 2-week adoption trial. If you feel they are not a good fit for you, the rescue will take them back. A no risk adoption! Their adoption fee is $175 each. The rescue is running an 'I love purrs' adoption special and if you fill out an application before 6/30/24, take $25 off each. These beautiful gals are looking for a quiet, loving home where they can explore, get rubbies and be adored. Could you offer them that special forever home?

Story
Cheese is a super sweet cat, but she is shy and anxious. She's about a year and a half to the best of our knowledge. We adopted her and her brother, Mac, last November (2023). Unfortunately, our house is not ideal for Cheese as we have 2 kids under 10 and a dog. I don't know if that is the reason, but Cheese has been peeing on our couch since we adopted her. We've tried everything (Feliway, calming treats, extra litter boxes, feeding them on the couch where she pees, covering the couch, etc.), but it has only gotten worse. I am sad to admit (and heartbroken to lose her) but the stress of 2 accidents a day and smell of urine on top of an already stressful life has lead us to rehome her. I hope a quiet home with no kids, no dog will resolve this behavior. Or someone with a dog/kids and more bandwidth to handle the peeing. She's so sweet, but just needs more quiet, calm and attention than we are able to provide.

Story
Do you want to be admired but not have people be all handsy/huggy with you? Me too!!! I am a gorgeous boy who has had a bit of a rough life and that has led me to be suspicious of some people (especially men). I have tried meditating but found that setting boundaries (3 pets on the head and not 4; snuggles only when authorized) is the best way to go. My person who gave me all the love in all the right doses passed away and now I am looking for that purrfect person who understands that I just like company and to be near you and like to be the one making the first move for attention. I am gorgeous, fluffy, entertaining and low energy. I am an easy boy to have around. I do have allergies to dust and such and as such may sneeze some artsy designs upon occasion but it doesn't slow me down and I don't mind if you don't. I was overlooked by people before my last mom because I am FIV+. What does that mean? Not a lot. It is mostly a label. People say that if I get sick I should go to the vet but that is pretty much what you would do with any cat. So if you care about what it means then you can find out more at https://fivcats.com/. I live with other cats and do fine. I just like a nice window, soft bed and person to snuggle next to. And I love my picture taken. If my handsome face makes you smile, then consider letting me make you smile every day and make me part of your family.  If you are interested in adopting Humphrey, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60-75 miles of the Raligh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. DOB is approx 3/22/2018 Adoption fee is $50 ##1111324##
