Story
I rescued Isabella when she was about 2 years old. She had been banished to the garage at her other home so she needed TLC to accumulate to my home but after a few months her loving side came out. She is very docile, loves scratches under her chin, and playing with toys like a feather on a string. She sits next to me at my desk in my home office all day and periodically bumps my arm when she wants a few pets. A few years ago I got a new puppy. She was okay at first but has developed a fear of the dog. I'm so saddened to have to rehome her. It will be best for all when she is in a home without other pets.

Story
Hello, I'm Willow, a clever and independent soul residing in a cozy shelter. My days are filled with thoughtful observations and gentle interactions. While I appreciate the company of some cats, I'm quite selective about my friends. My independent nature means I thrive with a bit of personal space and a lot of love on my terms. Every day, I take a little medicine to keep me healthy, but that doesn't slow me down! I enjoy my own space but appreciate a soft word and a gentle pet. If you're looking for a smart companion who respects boundaries yet offers quiet affection, I might just be the perfect addition to your home. Consider opening your heart and home to me, Willow. If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Please follow the instructions on each pet profile.

Story
I got him as a kitten. The previous owner had other cats that were aggressive towards him, He's been with me about 2 years now, I believe he's a Main Coon Mix (Given his size) He's a gentle giant, Big loaf that spends his days asleep on my lap, Ideally looking for a quiet household. I'm in the process of losing my job/apartment and I'd rather not have to make him live with me in my car. I have all the Toys/Grooming supplies/Dishes he would ever need. I'd like to find him a home before Christmas.

These cats are in Beaverton, Oregon too!

Story
Ket was originally my brothers cat and my brother had to move due to an emergency and left the cat with me. Unfortunately I’m not able to keep him. He is a sweet loving cat and loves to chill. He is potty trained and his favorite is sitting next to a window. He is around dogs and children.

Story
This is Data, he was born February 2019, so in a few months he will be 7 y/o. Data is a big, beautiful boy! But his handsomeness comes at a price, both literal and behavioral. Over the years, his mental and physical health has been getting worse. He has anxiety and twitches profusely and spasms when he's in a rough patch. In 2022, he was sent to the emergency vet to undergo surgery for urinary blockage to have crystals removed. Since then, Data has been on medicated food (Royal Canin - Urinary SO Dry Food, $117.⁹⁹ for their biggest bag which lasts roughly 6 weeks). Lately, however, he started peeing on towels. We're unsure if it's due to his anxiety or maybe the blockage is reoccurring. Unfortunately, if he is suffering from health problems, we are unable to pay his bill again. Data isn't getting attention as much anymore, and would do well as an only pet in a calm environment. He deserves a better fit.

Story
Rose showed up to my college duplex in 2013. I didn't know at the time but she was pregnant with her first litter. She had her kittens and I found homes for all of them but one. I kept her and her last baby (Lefty). Unfortunately, I had to relocate to a new home and cannot keep her or her daughter due to religious reasons. Both cats are very laid back, friendly to those they know, a little nervous at first around new people but never aggressive. They have resided with children of all ages and dogs. They have never purposely bitten or scratched anyone. They love food, laser pointers, and string toys. They are the sweetest girls and deserve a home with someone who would love to spoil them! I would prefer to keep them together if at all possible. Rose is around 13/14 years old and Lefty is around 12/13 years old. Both are current on rabies vaccination.
