Story
It is with great sadness that Crobie is up for adoption. She is a sweet 8 year old cat, a maine coone mix. She is super docile and has been having difficulty getting along with our large male maine coon cat, which for the last year has resulted in her refusing to user the same litter box as him. The vet recommended that she live in a one cat household, so that she can have all your love and attention. She is a beautiful cat with perpetual kitten face.

Story
My name is Dragonfly and I'm a sweet girl about 4 years old. Despite my petite size. I've clearly got some Maine Coon in me, although I am certainly not full Maine coon. My foster mom says that I am the sweetest, cutest cat, And I'm inclined to agree. I do well with the other cats in the foster home, but I prefer to be with people once they have gained my trust. I'm a curious girl and I like to explore places, even if I've explored them before. I spend a lot of my time purring and playing because I have a lot of energy. You would have to be out of your mind not to want to adopt me. I'm a spayed female cat, my shots are up to date, and I have tested negative for FIV and FeLV. I'm being fostered in Winthrop. If you're interested in adopting me, click the button that says "Ask about me." It's right over there.

Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Pure arrivied to us in Apr from Saudi Arabia.  A 2.5y male Maine Coon mix is shy and afraid of  dominant kitties if he doesn't love them but is very playful and cuddly if he does. He LOVES men, so we suggest a male only household. Needs an experienced purrson to help him adjust to his new life. No young children.  History: found abandoned but too cuddly and friendly to leave behind, he was the easiest catch ever-- he just entered the carrier and enjoyed being safe indoors again. spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FELV. All kittens are adoptable in pairs only unless another age appropriate cat is in residence.  Most of our adult cats also like cat company (most fosters are multicat homes).  Please read the following article on cat food to see why no dry: www.catinfo.org Facebook:Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   All cats are in the NY area.  Cats are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped.  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site      https://zanisfurryfriends.org      fill out an application and return to   cats@zanisfurryfriends.org   Please note: kittens must be adopted in pairs or to households with age appropriate cat(s) to ensure proper socialization and companionship. NO exceptions! If you would prefer a solo cat, we would be happy to recommend those cats who would do best as solo cats. All our cats are tested for feline leukemia and FIV, FVRCP and Rabies vaxed and also microchipped.   Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent.  Please ask by writing us at cats@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please come! And if you can't adopt, foster or volunteer, you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Story
Calcifer is a 5 year old mixed breed kitty (I think mostly maine coon/Norwegian forest cat based on her appearance). I adopted her as a kitten from a Rhode Island based cat shelter. She loves attention, to cuddle at bed time, and scritches around the head. She is very playful and loves any kind of wand toy or a tossed jingly ball. She's also very food motivated. Churus are her favorite! Calcifer is in perfect health, but does have an anxiety condition. She does not do well with other pets or children, so she would be best in an only cat household. I am looking to rehome her as she stopped getting along with my other cat. She can be very shy with new people, but given her strong food motivation a little treat goes a long way. She is a very sweet cat when she's calm and comfortable. I would recommend her for an experienced cat owner.

Story
She was adopted by my Dad when her previous owner passed away. My Dad passed away in July and we have 3 other cats that she has not melded with in the 2 years she has lived in the house. We have tried our best to integrate her but she was an only cat for to long. She is a typical loner cat, as she only shows affection when she wants to. She is not a lap cat, although she will jump on the arm of the chair/couch to visit. She prefers to drink water from a faucet then a bowl.
